Amazing views! Buying the tickets on tripadvisor was worth it! There was no wait time. The only thing is the nightrise experience was missed. However the hike and food was perfect!

Incredible, once in a lifetime experience. My wife and I did this experience together and it was the best part of our trip to Banff. Highly recommend!

Our group had such a fantastic experience on this tour. Roger was our guide and he was so friendly, accomodating and knowledgable. We couldn’t recommend this tour more, and we met some great people in it as well! If you’re looking for a fun light-hearted tour with your friends or as a couple I’d recommend this one.

4 stars only for our female Tour guide this morning! She had long brown hair with a braid with a septum nose piercing. I didn’t catch her name. She was the ONLY friendly person that we came upon. She did a great job of explaining things as we went along the trail and pointed out certain fun facts along the way. She made many of us feel at ease and did well at her job as a tour guide because she was THE ONLY ONE THAT MADE EYE CONTACT AND SMILED AND SAID “HI”!. ( Hello owners- that gesture goes a long way and perhaps you can train your cow girls and cowboy to do that more often)

However aside from her - BEWARE!- the feeling is that the young bucks who work here are annoyed with their jobs. The young girls who does the explanation in the coral at the beginning are very unfriendly. I was skeptical after reading the bad reviews but they are actually accurate- and many of them point out the same girl who has mid length blonde hair. She had a light green cactus shirt on this morning for our session. She made some of our group members feel stupid, and was very unfriendly. I get that you repeat your same speech daily but get over your “young experienced horse rider self”. Your job might be better suited as the Bona fide “horse apple” cadet - away from the visitors. Learn to be nice- it goes a long way!

The welfare of the horses is clearly very high on the company and staff’s agenda. A sensible (if still a little high!) weight limit reduces unbalanced riders causing issues for the horse. All the horse’s are a great weight (maybe a bit round!) and feet clearly well looked after.

It was wonderful slowly wandering around the park just outside Banff and seeing some beautiful scenery. Perfect for my very out of practice husband to get back on a horse.

My only reservation was around the group size. Realistically only the first three riders could hear the front rider properly and similar for the back. This means that for a “guided tour” I think a maximum of 6 guests - perhaps up to 8 is sensible. There’s no way 2 guides can communicate properly with 12+ guests. Whether this is issues communicating around how to ride the horses or talking about the environment we were in. A large amount of the 2h was spent waiting for the riders in front and behind to pull their horses up from snatching food - slightly frustrating! Neither myself nor my husband had any communication with either of the guides other than checking girths before the steep section.

I appreciate that a huge number of tourists/guests come through Banff and larger groups are a cost effective way of managing the numbers required. But a slightly reduced group size would improve visitor experience I think.

The horse I had “Brewster” was sound, beautifully behaved, respected when I said no to snacks and seemed to genuinely enjoy the job he was doing. Sure footed on the hills and rocky terrain.

Lovely way to end our honeymoon 🥰

Fantastic evening riding on a wagon through the forest to a BBQ. The food was amazing and the staff were lovely.
It was cold but then it was October. Blankets provided to help but wrap up warm.
We had a great evening. Thank you.
Wayne and Luke the horses were beautiful and our cowboys were lovely.

Among Canada’s most beautiful national parks, Banff National Park is incredible to visit at any time. The village of Banff, Banff Sunshine and Lake Louise ski resorts, Lake Moraine, as well as the numerous walks and hikes and glacial lakes can occupy a visitor for weeks. Allow at least four days to discover the Banff and Lake Louise area. Easy-to-modest hiking in Johnston Canyon and Marble Canyon, visiting Banff, skiing (Norquay, Sunshine, Lake Louise) and walking or skating or kayaking on Lake Louise are popular activities. TIP: these areas get very crowded, so to miss the crowds start as early as possible… For foreigners visiting Canada for the first time, I’d propose a 3-4-week itinerary with stops in Montreal/Quebec City/Charlevoix (1 week); Banff National Park (4 days); Toronto/Niagara Falls (3 days); Vancouver/Vancouver island (1 week), Halifax/Cabot Trail (4 days).

Our tour guide TIM! tim was amazing. He was so informative about everything - he made sure we all had our washroom stops and lunch breaks & showed us so many beautiful stops along the way. Hopefully when you book you get lucky enough to have Tim as your tour guide!

I booked a private guided tour with Discover as I was travelling solo and my first time in Banff.
All I had to do was list off my top places of interest and Discover planned the rest!

Jake was my tour guide, picked me up promptly at the expected time. He was extremely friendly and outgoing, I was a little distracted by his luscious long locks, but his knowledge of the area was amazing (except about some of the birds)

We didn't have the greatest weather so some of the planned stops were not accessible however Jake was quick to make great suggestions and we made the most of my tours allotted time.

I will be back to Banff and I will definitely book with Discover again, the coordinators and Jake were amazing and awesome to deal with!

I truly had a magical time!

We’ve been on various guided tours across Canada and this was by far the best. The views were beautiful, the boat was comfortable and not crowded. However what made this tour perfect was Gina and Kirstie. Gina and Kirstie’s knowledge of the area, local legends and how they went above and beyond to interact with the passengers was really fantastic. We also want to note that this was an extremely family friendly activity with both Gina and Kirstie demonstrating kindness and attention to our 3 year old daughter and the other children on board. Would 100% do this tour again and recommend it to everyone.

This was a super unique experience, and getting to see the canyon at night was very cool. We were the only ones there, which is pretty rare for such a popular area. We saw some wildlife (fox) and the stars were incredible. Chloe was an awesome guide who shared many interesting facts about the canyon and Banff's history. She made sure everyone navigated the ice/snow safely and the tour pace was just right. Would recommend to anyone seeking to explore the canyon during the winter months!
