This was an amazing adventure that was long overdue for us, Covid unfortunately spoilt our 2020 plans for taking this trip so expectations were high and this full packed day met all of them. The guide Murray is probably one of the best we've had and we've been on many trips throughout the years, very fun, informative and highly accomidating. Great experience

What a great trip to Banff! As a solo traveler I was a little nervous that I would Feel like a solo traveler but my tour guide Teddy was awesome! Being that I was the only solo traveler in our group I got to ride in the front seat and that just made the trip that much better. While the other two groups caught naps, I got what felt like a one on one experience learning all about the area and its mountains like funny stories about the history behind the names of some of the mountains. It was a great time. Teddy was always offering to take pictures so that my day wasn’t entirely selfies. lol Thank you Teddy! I would highly recommend booking with this tour company. You will not be disappointed!

Whilst we have our own car, we chose to have a day booked with tour to see some of the key sites. We booked the all day tour with Westar (via Viator - note gratuities are included in fee when booking through Viator) where we were picked up from our hotel in Banff, Elk & Avenue in the morning around 9.30am. The communication with the company leading up to the tour was good. We had some questions and they were answered in a timely manner leading up to the morning of the tour.
The tour was to cover: Emerald Lake, Natural Bridge, Lake Louise and also Lake Moraine, however Lake Moraine was closed so this was replaced with Lake Minnewanka.
We had sufficient time at all spots to take photos and have a walk around.
We also had the opportunity to have a look into the Fairmont Hotel at Lake Louise - the entrance, the shops on their ground level. We had over an hour at Lake Louise which was plenty of time.
During the day we had an hour lunch break at the base of Lake Louise where there is the Information Centre, a small super market and a number of cafes and restaurants. Also some retail stores including a sports store, book store etc. We would also highly recommend popping into the Information Centre.
When booking the tour you did have the option to add a set lunch at an additional cost. We opted not to add this and instead had a lovely lunch at one of the cafes, coffee and something sweet.
This is a large coach tour. Our guide, Amber was fantastic. Very knowledgeable with all her historical facts throughout the tour. This is an English/Mandarin speaking tour however both dialects were covered equally with explanations covered in both languages. If you don’t mind having to listen to another dialect, it was a very good tour where we learnt a lot about the history of various sites etc. Amber was also fantastic at each of the sites - she helped take photos for everyone which was really lovely.
Our driver was very professional and you certainly felt safe during the whole drive. We had rain and some snow on the roads, and not once did we feel unsafe. The coach has comfortable seats with seat belts. They also offered everyone a bottle of water for the tour.

Our tour was amazing. Naveen is an excellent guide, plenty of knowledge, good sense of humour and great photographer. Our tour lasted 12 hours with pick up from the front door! The tour was everything we expected and more.
We highly recommend booking this tour and Naveen. Thank you for lasting memories!

I have not been to Banff in 20 years and only had one day to fit in some sightseeing while on a work trip. Instead of renting a car myself, I decided to take this tour. BEST IDEA EVER! We had a small group (4) and our guide, Habib, was very friendly and knowledgeable and we were picked up right at our hotel in Calgary. It was wonderful to have someone else do the driving while we were in awe of the spectacular scenery! Habib knew all of the best places to go, starting with Lake Louise and working our way back. (There is still snow and ice on Lake Louise so that was the coldest place by the glacier, so dress warm) We had time to be on our own to explore and shop.
Next up was Johnson Canyon and it was incredibly beautiful hiking the trails to the lower falls with very tall pine trees and clear aqua rivers below. Banff was next and we had time for lunch and to walk around town and shop! What a cool town! Habib drove us past the Banff Springs Hotel and then over to Bow Falls! All I can say is WOW!
After that I thought we were done because,..how you top that view?, but then, we went further up the mountain to an INCREDIBLE lookout! We could see the whole valley!! Mountains, Bow River, the hotel off in the distance, snow capped mountains,…we were speechless! What a GREAT day for all of us with a perfect mixture of lakes, glaciers, hiking trails, and waterfalls, historic hotels, shopping, and scenery that I wil never forget. Wonderful tour!!!

Amazing little tour! Our guide Tommy was very friendly and available to answer questions. He was knowledgeable and the pace was good. Even if it was during the “Winter” (late April), it was totally worth it! I really liked Lake Minnewanka and Johnson Canyon).

While I paid here to book the guide, others had it for free via the tour company. It was mentioned 7$ but turned out it was $15.
But nothing was for the guide apparently so I had to pay another time for the tip.

Ewan gave a very good tour. The information was accessible and the places were all interesting to visit.
    I recommend the tour.

Murray from Banff Day Trips gave us detailed instructions and precious insider knowledge that made each stop a good time. He was prompt and very sensitive to how each one in our tour group felt. He gave options, to keep both the more active and less active travelers happy. At one point, someone was too scared to ride the ski lift, Murray saved the day by riding with her and keeping the conversation on the lift on a reassuring and peaceful note.

AJ did a great job with our tour with boundless energy and positivity. His knowledge was extensive and his patience was exemplary. We learned a great deal about the area and appreciated his attention to detail - especially the way he remained conscious of our schedule while avoiding traffic jams with incredible expertise! Great job AJ!

The views and landscapes were just amazing and breathtakingly beautiful. However, our guide, David, was VERY hard to understand (you could tell his English was not strong) and disappeared once we reached the Icefield so no questions could be answered.
This tour is geared towards the Chinese tourist and the English speaking guest will have to strain to understand and will receive less information.

The optional ice crawler to the glacier is worth the extra $ and our guide Jess was wonderfully informative.
We also thought that we would visit the Skywalk based on other reviews, but unfortunately we did not.
You do get to see a good amount of scenery but not a lot of info on the bus due to language barrier with our guide.
