Cannot say enough good about this place
We had a spare day in Calgary before we picked up the RV and it was a fantastic way to spend it. The park is wonderful and the staff are very nice and informative the restaurant was good and the cafes the same. They have a proper steam train going through the park. For young kids or old this is a top attraction

The signage outside the entrance to the Stampede states the obvious and is pretty close to the truth!
Was lucky enough to attend the 2nd and 3rd last days of the 2023 Stampede and found it to be an unforgettable experience!
The rodeo was non stop action and the evening chuck waggon races and light show 2nd to none in entertainment value.
Apart from the main arena, the overall fair ground was massive and held over 100.000 people each day I believe.
Anyone with an interest in rodeo or cowboy events should certainly put this
    rodeo on their "bucket List".

There are taller towers in bigger cities, but you can’t necessarily see as much from them. Calgary Tower offers a unique view over the city, on the edge of the prairie, to the Rocky Mountains in the distance. We found ourselves so absorbed that we walked several laps, and watched the short history film as well.

One feature, offering another unique perspective, is an area of transparent floor with a view straight down to the street, 157m below. Not everyone will feel comfortable standing on it, but it’s still in place after countless visitors.

    Definitely worth a visit.

We attended one of the jumping competitions at Spruce Meadows. The grounds are very beautiful, immaculately maintained. There are some good (though pricey) options for food and drink, as well as some souvenir shops focused on horse riding memorabilia, as well as the professional soccer club (Calgary Cavalry) which plays its home games at the premises.

I did enjoy once again the experience of watching the horses jumping and walking around the very picturesque premises, especially after the grounds were basically closed for a couple of years due to covid. It is one of a type kind of experience in Calgary, and a great activity for children too!

Stephen Avenue had many lively restaurants and expensive stores. It was only open to pedestrians.i saw many live shows, and it was packed due to the Stampede. There was an indoor mall right next to it.

Great photo opportunity. Accessing the location is easy. No cost to visit. Plenty of paid parking very, very close. A must see.

We arrived very early for a Flames game and decided to give Duttons Lounge a whirl.

I had not been here for many years as I always went to the Saddleroom Grill until this season when they ( for some crazy reason???) changed the Grill from an a la carte menu to a tasting menu.
Service at Duttons was superb and the burgers were great.

So many wonderful shops and good eats! Too bad there wasn't more free parking...
    Spent the whole afternoon there.

It’s fun to drive under all the skywalks. Plus you can walk them if you want to avoid the cold. Not something you would set out to see. But if you have the chance to walk in one go for it.

So much thought has gone into designing this small museum. It was so neat that they let you into the changes they've made over time, offering visitors more of a window into historiography. The exhibits were well-designed and we enjoyed seeing how they've made the history here more inclusive.

The indoor portion exceeded our expectations and we learned a lot about Calgary. The outdoor portion was a bit disappointing, but we didn't have time to do their tour. I imagine it's more meaningful if you do that.

We went while it was under construction. It is a cute little bridge. You can get a nice view of the Calgary skyline from the other side of the bridge when coming from downtown. Beautiful nice day made for a nice stroll and then enjoy the Prince's Island Park

The court ruled a woman was not a 'person' for constitutional purposes. The Privy Council overturned that decision. The five bronze statues depict five women instrumental in the fight for equal rights, the newspaper about the Privy Council reversal the focus point.

As a former Olympics site, it isn't much - a couple of plaques describing its use for medals ceremonies and who ran the project to construct it. But as a center of ongoing activity, it is happening. We happened to be there on Canada day, and there were music acts and whatnot, along with lots of kids splashing around in the pool and under the water sprays. But even the following day there was a fair amount of activity there.
