We decided to give skating a try since it was close to the hotel. We had our own skates and the helmets were free to use. Skating characters were fun for the kids, and gentle with those that were afraid. Not must do, but fun if you can arrange it.

This place is so well done and educational. They have done a great job explaining the different parts of the world and the related plants. Each pyramid has a different internal layout so that enhances the presentation. The staff are very passionate. Any time we asked a question, they took the time to provide great information that added much to our visit. This is a place to keep coming back to.

There is something here for everyone. So many interesting stalls. Lots of fun wandering up and down all the aisles. We stocked up local products. Definitely not to be missed.

I love this place; been coming here for years, and bought an awesome Mooney's metal biscuits tin several years back. While many antique stores and malls are essentially kitsch and shabby chic today, thankfully, Old Strathcona maintains the standard for what a true antique mall is supposed to be - genuinely unique and rare items, many not normally seen at other antique malls and shops. Thank you Betty and Bobbi--the gold cufflinks I ordered are beautiful; everytime I come to Edmonton from Phoenix, you folks are always my first stop!

We were downtown for The Works art festival and noticed that admission to the art gallery was free for Canada Day! Very cool architecture. We enjoyed looking at all the displays. I don’t know that we would’ve ever payed to go here so it was nice to experience it for no charge. There is also a great roof top patio and the washrooms were super clean.

Spent a good part of the late afternoon and early evening at The Kingsway Mall. It's a pretty comfortable place---good for a hot day. Pretty regular ordinary stores. No bookstore but it does have a record store. And the Food Court had some good variety....and it was well kept up.

Love this mall! Not as crowded as WEM but has many of the same stores. The Bay, Eddie Bauer , and many others, good variety for all ages. We always find the staff and service excellent at Southgate!

I have been to this mall several time . It’s not a very busy mall maybe because it doesn’t have free parking. It manny good brands with ample sitting area. You can’t get a better place then this for your shopping needs.

New owner has brought new look to this antique mall. Very nice renovation within the entrance allows you to browse more easily. It's opened the area up for furniture display.
The staff is very pleasant and know alot about the vender specialties although you need to search for that special something.
It's interesting and enjoyable. It's large enough to give you a good chance to enjoy poking through. More vintage than antiques but some nice shabby chic, lots of collectibles, farmhouse specials, art, books, jewelry and vinyl lps. Quite a bit of prairie history from gas, oil, train and industry.
Lots of nostalgia for anyone from my boomer generation to a current youth collector.

Was pleasantly surprised to find out how much we enjoyed touring this village. Both my husband & I have mobility issues, no problem - they had electric scooters for us. Buildings, paths & landscape all a historic display of how the Ukrainian immigrants in this part of Canada lived. We were fascinated and spent 2 hours & still didn't see everything we wanted to (but it closed as we got there late in the day) Check hours of operation when you go. It is well worth your time. Wish this post would let me post my photos for you.

We come here each week to pick up fresh produce and to pick up dinner from one of the several food trucks that show up each week (it does vary from week to week). Last week we enjoyed The Explore India food truck. The Naan bread was divine. The coconut beef curry and sweet mango curry dishes both served with basmati rice were yummy. We ordered a couple of samosas and found them to be OK. There are places to sit and eat but we choose take out and eat at home. Plenty of parking nearby and a nice mid week market.

I would like to thank Leduc Beck for the great job they did on refinishing my Gibbard tables. They are beautiful showing the wood grains and a great colour. Also they were done in two weeks just as promised. I would highly recommend them for any refinishing you need to do. They were so pleasant to deal with. Thank you so much for a job well done.

I was surprised about the store in a pleasant way. My son and I were out window shopping in the area one day as we like this sort of thing ie. He is 10 so we like places such as the antique mall, hobby wholesale etc.

The first thing I was happy with was the cleanliness. It just goes without saying that if someone keeps a place maintained then chances are the products are going to be of a better quality. Coming from Vancouver this was not always the case. There are good, clean places there too, but there are also some not so clean ones. Enough said therein.

The second was the selection. lots of different themes as to be expected including even some new and exclusive(?) lines.

Prices are good. Some may be a bit high, but most are good and pretty fair. This sort of is normal in that industry I imagine.

I have bought several items there in the last few months. I will go back, and even if I do not buy anything simply viewing things and getting ideas is nice too.

    Regards,
    Frank D.

PS - I did not know there was a hat policy either. Next time we will remove.

still a staple in old Strathcona, this book store always stocks wonderful books and media. old books, newish books, nooks and crannies with secret treasures... a kids section, antiques and collectibles, vinyl... too bad only the first floor is wheelchair accessible. this is one of those places where the staff knows stuff. also, a cat! and you can bring your dog in if it is well-behaved. Sale shelves are incredibly affordable.
