The views were beautiful and lunch on the mountain is a must or just a drink. Local brews are available. We ate bison chili and bannock. Would walk back up it was so good. The staff was great and answered all the questions we had. Lots of reading once up top about the history of the area and names of all the mountains.

First time kayaking. Had an amazing experience thanks to the excellent staff . Not a water baby at all but had this on my bucket list and it was an awesome experience. One I will never forget .

Where to start? Both me and my affiliates were given the opportunity to experience the invaluable coaching of both Ed and Ollie during the week. Both coaches superseded their roles as merely ski instructors and allowed me to develop as both a skier and most importantly a man over the 5 days.
Ollie was nothing short of a skiing father figure during our time at Marmot Basin.
Through detailed, individualised technical feedback, I was able to progress onto blue slopes with ease and the town of Jasper soon labelled me as ‘The LeBron James of the slopes’. Ollie truly was a star of the ski coach community.
Ed guided me down my first black slope, an experience as monumental as my birth many moons ago. Known to many as the ‘Cumbrian Carver’, Ed has instilled his legacy upon the Canadian Rockies. He taught me many critical life lessons that I will take to my grave and not a moment went by where I was not learning something new.
I would be nothing short of miserable should both Ed and Ollie not be promoted or at the bare minimum, receive a generous pay rise for their premium services. Could not recommend enough!

"From Jasper with Love" is an hilarious series of skits about experiencing the joys and challenges of life in a small mountain town. The back-county camping episode was especially funny: setting up a collapsible tent, lugging a toilet up a mountain. The paranoid elk was a hoot, bemoaning playing second string to the moose. Two talented guys take on many roles and wigs. The show plays for three months in the Lobstick. Don't miss it!

The long and winding highway out of Jasper trickles through the many beautiful sites in Jasper National Park. We traveled from Jasper to Lake Louise, to Banff to Canmore to Calgary.

This is perhaps the best view of/around Maligne Lake; however, you have to work for it! The trail up is incessant and much of it is on a gravel road. Do not take the shortcut on the way up - leave it for the way down!

We had an incredible experience with this tour. The guides were all very friendly and knowledgeable. We unfortunately had cloudy/rainy weather the day of our tour but it was still well worth it! They had a contingency plan in place to ensure we still had a great experience! They also have an awesome rain check policy so we will be able to rebook our telescope portion of the tour for another (hopefully clear) night!

This information centre is a good place to stop for all your touring needs. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful (and friendly!) with plenty of maps, pamphlets and good ideas to share. There is also a gift shop which is remarkably well-stocked with interesting merchandise to meet your last-minute, panic shopping requirements. The building is kind of nice too.

Free parking available at the start/finish of the walk. As advised walked clockwise so we had a steady climb before reaching the vantage point overlooking Jasper and the Athabasca River.
You do go through wooded areas and some rough terrain. I would advise walking boots or shoes and I was glad I put insect repellent on.
The walk was about 4km and we did it early evening. Very enjoyable and spectacular views.

We love this place and had a great talk to the owner. We purchased a porcupine quill jewelry box which was just amazing. There were lots of other things we would like to have bought but space in the suitcases was limited

We hiked Opal Hills by Maligne Lake May 13 and there was still lots of snow, but we went in early am and it was crusted over so you could manage fine with just cleats. (You have to trek across the snow bound parking section that isn't plowed to reach the trail head.)

Go into this thinking that it's really steep and you'll be fine. It's pretty steep! And in the trees most of the way. We didn't do the loop due to avalanche risk, instead we went up to the lake lookout point 650m total elevation gain and back the same way. Take right trail fork. Lots of moose/elk tracks, also possibly wolf tracks as there are no dogs allowed (much larger than coyote prints.) Spectacular views on a clear day. No one else seen on trail on a Friday morning.

Would also like to see it in a summer setting as well.
