- kwa829Redmond, WA952 contributionsThe attraction is a bit cheesy, but if you are passing through Medicine Hat, it's worth a stop to see it and take the photo. One of those "they built it, so you should come" attractions.
For a fun photo, stand in the exact center, put your camera on the ground facing up, and with your camera's self-timer, take a selfie with your head perfectly centered with the tip of the teepee so it looks like you're wearing a hat.
It is unfortunate that during my visit, a couple of cherry pickers were parked right next to it, which kind of spoiled the visual.
I might suggest a visit at sunset; the sun setting behind it makes a nice picture.Written July 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Valerie RMedicine Hat, Canada16 contributionsFor something a bit different, check out their historical research room which contains many of the local history books of communities written by locals about locals and for the research buff who likes to now more than just what they can see.
The gallery is always a good 20 minute walk and the community history displays are well done and interesting with excellent documentation. Go to a show there and enjoy great seating, meet locals and see some fine concerts, films and one man shows or bands. Saw the Banff Film Fest movies there this winter over 2 days. Awesome....Love the helpful volunteers there! Great underground parking just not for RV's.Written April 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There is a dog walk, paved routes and great for biking, swimming, picnicking, outdoor dates, enjoying fishing, duck watching, paddle boarding. Life guards on site. Sand based beach and swimming hole with filtered water. Snack bar, washrooms and music at the beach. Playgrounds and lots of non plug in parking. Great for kite flying and e biking too. We go there spring to late fall.Written April 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

On the edge of town in a light industrial area (pump up your GPS). Very friendly service (hey, this is smallish town Alberta after all) and very popular with locals. My only bleat is that the beers could have been served a bit colder. Had a delicous chicken sandwich which went nicely with my flight.Written June 2, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mira vKindersley, SK33 contributionsThis is an enjoyable market to walk around....they have a bit of everything and the prices are very fair. The live music is a nice bonus. - Valerie RMedicine Hat, Canada16 contributionsPolice Point is more of a back to nature with amenities. There are often natural events happening there you can participate in. We love to run our dog while we ebike the various trails there. You do have to watch out for the odd snake (rarely) and clean up after your pet but its very natural with trees, a branch of the river flowing nearby and natural gravel paths. Great for mountain biking! there are benches throughout and a washroom in the parking lot. And best of all its free!Written April 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Valerie RMedicine Hat, Canada16 contributionsWant somewhere with the look of nostalgia but with new age movies and food. Take in dinner and movie courtesy of the restored Monarch theatre. From the refurbished seats to the grand movie stage to the front lobby which boasts popcorn and soda and candy just like it was back in the heyday of the movie theatre. The price is cheap at 14.00 for two and the staff are all volunteers who have worked hard to maintain the look of the theatre. A great way to eat out cheap and to take in a movie.Written November 13, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jace A77 contributionsLove this theatre group. Also love Rock of Ages... seeing this show was a must. And was NOT dissapointed - it amazes me how effortless everyone makes these productions feel. From sound, to light, to stafe, to acting, singing Nd dancing. We are considering the purchase of a seasons pass. Its that good.Written November 17, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
