What an enjoyable and entertaining time we had as we rode on the steam-powered train! We chose the Winslow, an open-air car, and the beautiful autumn weather was a bonus as we travelled down the track to the trestle bridge and back. We were so pleased to have plenty of photo & video opportunities throughout the duration of our trip. Once on board, we were regaled with historical facts about the railway, and serenaded by a guitar playing Cowboy, who encouraged us to sing along with him. And of course, everyone was excited when we were “robbed” by the Garnet Valley Gang, who rode in with their horses and realistic sound effects! At the end of our journey, we were treated to a delicious meal under the pavilion, with music provided, once again by “The Cowboy”. We will definitely be back, next time with family and friends!

I took my eight year old to the Bug Zoo in downtown Victoria. She loved it! Very hands on, at least for her, not me!! Our guide, Kylie was terrific. She was enthusiastic, interactive and took quite a few questions from my daughter. Kylie made my daughter’s day, especially with all the bugs she got to touch and the stories told, especially about the millipede being such a “good farter”, cracked her up!! For an adult and an eight year old, it was just over $25 to go. Definitely worth it, the Victoria Bug Zoo may not be “flashy”, but it a worthy educational experience for both child and adult!!

This was a wonderful opportunity to see grizzly bears from a boat. It was a modern, clean, sleek boat. It took a couple hours to get to the sanctuary. The crew on the boat were full of good information There was more than enough viewing space. The boat had a nice supply of binoculars to see the bears. I would say this is a must for anybody who makes it to Prince Rupert

Amazing experience to come soo close to these incredible animals! We were able to spot a few bald eagles, 5 grizzlies, 2 black bears and lots of other stunners which nature has to offer! Also the cultural part about the heritage of the Homalco tribe was very interesting. On our way back we have also been very lucky to spot a few Orcas passing by 😍

Awesome tour with a very friendly and cool guide. Had a great time on and next to the river (visiting a bearcave, waterfall, cliffjump). Perfect activity for families and friends.

My experience with Lang's Fishing Adventures was outstanding overall! Heather was incredibly helpful with planning my trip and answering questions. Austin was a knowledgeable guide, very friendly, and always had me on fish. Catching sturgeon on the Fraser River is a trip I'll always remember. I couldn't recommend the team at Lang's more highly!

Campbell gives you access to many waters for Salmon fishing. We had a great time with our guide Justin. Superior equipment like drift boats and jet boats. But also the best fishing tips and tricks we ever had. Coastal Wilderness will help you with organising your fishing holiday. We just said what we would like to fish and Coastel Wilderness Adventures came with the best period, times and water. We already booked for next year.

Staff is friendly and the facilities are clean. The lane swimming pool is not crowded so you have a lot of space.
The hot tub is always crowded specially on the weekends

Our staff team has been out on the Fraser River with Dean Werk of Great River Fishing Adventures several times, and there is no other sportfishing provider we would recommend more enthusiastically than him and his team.

Dean is a truly unique and fascinating individual who knows and loves the Fraser River and its fishy inhabitants like no one else. His trips are safe, engaging, and fun. You will see great sights, feel the power of a massive jet motor, and learn a ton about the river and its history. Without a doubt, Dean will show you the time of your life! This is a bucket list trip that you’ll keep coming back for, time and time again.

Our group of four decided to take a quiet float vs. whitewater adventure. We signed up for the North Thompson 3 hour raft float. IWE was great! We met at their travel center and drove to our launch site 15 minutes away. We were in a large raft with just the four of us and our guide Kia. The river was peaceful and beautiful. We were virtually the only ones on the river. A relaxing picturesque trip. Kia was friendly and informative. Great way to see the North Thompson.

This hotel is exactly what you would expect, a budget hotel. Currently it is often the 3rd cheapest place to stay in Revelstoke. They are in the middle of renovations, so hopefully the prices don't go sky high when they are done.
The best thing about this hotel is the location, as it is close to everything. The Aquatic center is just a block or so away, the liquor store, several pubs and restaurants as well as the entire downtown is just outside the door of this hotel.
Currently they include a free pass to the aquatic center, which if you have kids or just want to soak yourself, then you should take them up on it.
Currently the rooms are dated, but as noted, they are in the middle of renovations, in fact, they were selling off the old furniture the last time I was there.
If you're going to stay here though, ask for a room on the second floor and facing away from the pub, it can sometimes get noisy outside of that pub.
For a value hotel, this is the place to stay in Revelstoke if you are here to take in the town.

    Fantastic trip.
    Led by AJ and Clarissa.
Clarissa gave us a wonderful insight into the indigenous peoples of the area and her particular struggles with the money making corporations.
We saw black bears feeding on the sea shore then travelled on to one of the indigenous sites to see the grizzlies.
A long wait crouched and sitting on a log but there was so much going on: a heron in a nearby tree, a kingfisher flashing in and out of the bank, lots of crows and of course salmon fighting their way upstream.
We were rewarded with not just one but two grizzlies coming downstream, catching salmon and eating them less than 50 feet away. Must have spent an hour just watching and capturing on camera. Sights we will never forget and well beyond expectation.
Sadly we coukdn't stay the night and made our way back to Port McNeil.
AJ and Clarissa made this trip so special with their knowledge and insight. Cannot recommend this company highly enough or give them enough stars.
If you want to see grizzlies doing what grizzlies do then look no further. Good food, good knowledgable local guides. Just book it.

We stopped in here for an hour of golf, while visiting family in Vancouver. What a great spot! Golf was alot of fun, the bar service was excellent, and the snacks were tasty (bread sticks). If we lived in Vancouver, would certainly be spending some time here.

I have wanted to visit Gwaii Haanas since seeing photos in my moms National Geographic magazine years ago. To visit we needed to find a tour operator. I was immediately comfortable with Moresby after a short phone call.
Others have spoken about the wonderful 4 day zodiac tours. Six months later the memories in my brain and heart are
    1. The friendly and helpful staff at Moresby.
    2. The warm welcome at all Watchmen sites.
    3. The wildlife. First time to see sea lion colonies, otters in the wild, Pacific puffins, phosphorescent plankton, and black bears.
    4. Nice people we met.
    5. Large wise trees
    6. That purple gold light at sunset
    7. The food and warm relaxing floating lodge
    8. Time was different. Being away from electronics and off grid was lovely.
Experiencing awe is important. Every day was full of awe. Thank you Moresby Explorers for offering this unique way of visiting this exquisite area and sharing its story. You are doing everything right!!
