What travellers are saying
- FredColby, KS53 contributionsGreat views, bike not needed but you can see more of the trail with a bike. Hiked in to the first trestle (about 1KM or 1/2 mile) and views of the forest, valley, Kelowna are very nice and peaceful (on a Tuesday). Saw others reviews complaining about the road to the trail head. Really? There were probably 50 vehicles at the trail head when we arrived from micro cars to pickup trucks. The road is not that bad.
Rental bikes starting at $50 per 4 hours seems excessive.Written September 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - butchartdLondon, Canada162 contributionsThis walk will take most people about an hour to go up. As you ascend, you will notice a fantastic view of the city from above. Well worth the trip. - Valerie CAbbotsford, Canada7 contributionsIt would have been more peaceful if they weren't mowing the lawn and doing lawn care outside of the garden. Its a very zen place to go to get away from the noise.Written June 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Valerie CAbbotsford, Canada7 contributionsPerfect for walking and getting outside to see the lake. For a city park and walkway it is very clean. There are lots of benches and grass to sit on, and things to go such as Parasailing.Written June 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Norm45Montreal, Canada124 contributionsOn our roadtrip from Vancouver to Banff, we had a chance to stop by this place and book a 3-course meal paired with wins of the estate. AMAZING! The place is located up the hill at only 15 minutes from Kelowna. The food was just unbelievably tasty and well presented. The experience worth the detour. If you're passing by the area, try to book your experience online...really easy! - STS9Hamilton, Canada196 contributionsWe live in Kelowna in Black Mountain and we try to bring all of our guests to the restaurant for at least one meal during their stay.
The vegan calamari and salmon are always a winner. The staff are always friendly and Stephen, the owner, if he’s around, will stop off at your table just to say hi. The organic Pinot Gris is very distinctive with an almost golden colour and it is very aromatic.
So why only a 4 star you ask. Communications when trying to make a reservation are next to zero. We have been turned away at the door because no one would pick up the telephone at the restaurant so we would drive down to the restaurant but we would always have a back up destination in mind which many times we have had to go to.
I suggest that maybe they could have a calendar on their web site for when they are hosting larger events to save guests from driving down and being turned away and disappointed.
Last night (25th) as usual the food was amazing and Lynne our server was great extremely personal, friendly and knowledgeable. Her manager was also there at a table and she took her ( The only server) away from her duties for an extended period of time to talk about work and this took her away from her duties so we just sat patiently and waited for her to finish so we could leave. We could here all of their conversation and it was quite peculiar that they would have a work update at the tables in a fine restaurant when we sat just 2 tables away.
Either way the food, wine and service was as always a solid 10, with the season winding down maybe Stephen and his mgmt team can look at their reservation process and the ability to communicate to customers if the restaurant is booked out for private events and therefore no walk in customers would be permitted.
Not the cheapest place in town but worth the trip. We will see you soon and hopefully they will post shortly if the restaurant is remaining open this winter season.
Great job Stephen

- deepakgupta5Vancouver, Canada592 contributionsThis lovely waterfront park is adjacent to the downtown Marina. It is a beautiful place for a leisurely stroll or activities such as swimming, sunbathing, watersports, beach volleyball etc. We also saw an inflated floating playground on the lake for the kids. The park offers a wonderful view of Okanagan Lake. There are a number of restaurants offering a wide choice of cuisines within walking distance. All in all, a great place to spend an afternoon or evening or the entire day.Written August 25, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
