We visited Kelowna last week and found Okanagan Distilleries on our first day and was so impressed we visited the establishment every day during our vacation. We tried all the specialty gin and whiskey drinks off their menu however came back for the Gin Blossom with lemonade as our favorite. I never drank Gin before however I'm now converted.
Lynn and Christie were great hostesses adding to the experience. Okanagan Distilleries on Bernard St is a definite stop on your trip to Kelowna.

I cannot say enough great things about Joe and Urban Distillery. We've had 2 tastings that blew our minds, the products are excellent and Joe's presentation is phenomenal. The food is amazing and a great price. Amy is also excellent and tons.of fun.

Some times in wine country you need to enjoy a scenic cider tour! A place famous for rugged landscapes, historic ventures, bountiful orchards and horse farms- the okanagan can surprise you!

Today is dedicated to the apple! Plantings originate in the 1860’s but with great growing conditions and fertile soils it drew many farmers to the Okanagan which helped shape the agriculture we know today.

One such destination was the Ritchie family whom built a large packinghouse in the 1930’s in the prime growing area off Scenic Road. Fast forward to 2016 when growers-turned-cidermakers, the Sebastian’s and Johal’s worked together to create their own artisanal cider using their premium farm fresh apples.

Hand pressed English/French and various dessert apples along with local fruit the family owned cidery makes a perfectly balanced portfolio fit for novice to connoisseur. Today we met Cidermaker Trish (Brock University) who gave us a detailed and informative tasting experience. Filled with excitement and passion, she explained the processes, high quality standards and the fun the team has when collaborating on each cider.

Scenic Road Cider Co. has a wonderful country charm, is surrounded by beautiful orchards and horse paddocks with a rustic showpiece of the packing house bringing it all together. Definitely in our TOP 5 cideries!

A portfolio perfect for beach picnics, bbq season, top restaurant pairings or après-ski! 🏆💎🍺🍏🍎🍐🍒

Walking distance from the main street of Kelowna you can check out the tasting room for the BC Tree Fruits Cider Company. They have 3 standard ciders and then a bunch more that their brewers have come up with. You can try four for $5 and the refund that if you buy some cider. I had some of the brewer's choices and they were all pretty good - my fave was the chai tea inspired cider - very tasty! There is also a brewhouse pretty close by and a store selling fresh apples next store.

We stopped in on a whim, to have a little tasting here the other day after going to SOMA Craft Cidery nearby.
We did a Mini Cocktail tasting of 3 of their cocktails; The Adam, The Eve, and The Rebel. We really liked The Adam, which was their Apple Brandy and a Lime Simple Syrup Elixir. The other 2 were very good as well. Such cool bottles and labels on their stuff too. We ordered another Adam to drink after the tasting and I tried their Espresso Martini and DAMMMM it was good! Probably the best Espresso Martini I have ever had. Not that I am an expert by any means, but I could have easily drank about 4 more of those. Haha
What a cool place, and they didnt mind that we brought in our 15 month old son to hang out with us while we tasted their spirits.

We had a very lovely visit on Mother’s day. The owner had planned a special cocktails for moms, so thoughtful! We loved tasting all the very different tasty small batch liqueurs and spirits prepared at the farm. The bottle art is gorgeous. You can tell they put a lot of love into their products. We couldn’t choose so we bought several bottles to bring home!
