It was a wonderful experience viewing his work and being able to ask the artist questions. Take the time to go see this. The bee hive is interesting and history and how to make ice wine informative. Small galleries have a certain charm. They do not come across as imposing, as big museums do. They also present other than the masters, so are a little easier to appreciate.
This gallery met these criteria and we enjoyed our visit. The focus was on Canadian artists and some of the works were lovely and some were quirky. Not all met with our admiration, but we enjoyed being exposed to the variety. There was a separate gallery dedicated to the grizzly bear, and a third exhibit showing interviews about racism. We preferred the Canadian artists' exhibit.
We were greeted pleasantly and will be back. We concluded our Sunday afternoon with a pleasant walk along the waterfront and a coffee at an outdoor patio. The display of equipment regarding the history of the fruit growing, picking and packing was most interesting. There is a lovely gift shop and interesting information about the history of the area’s wineries. The main part of the building has interesting architecture and an amazing beamed ceiling....available as an event venue. It was however an interesting place to visit with some good interactive exhibits - worth an hour or two on a hit or wet day I’d say
