- Carolyn H3 contributionsOur son & daughter-in-law had their wedding at The Harvest; the ceremony was on the lawn with beautiful valley and mountain views; the grounds around the clubhouse were stunning for bridal photos; the reception was held in a beautifully decorated room; the food was excellent; thank you for an awesome experience!Written June 30, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - familyprinceTacoma, WA45 contributionsPlayed the course in early August and found one of the toughest courses I have ever played. Lots of elevation changes, few flat lies in the fairways, and, even at the senior tees, the course plays 6200+. May tough drives across gullies to fairly narrow landing areas. Few flat lies and missing the fairway means menacing side hills. Course has no trees and on a hot day, like I played, the heat can be oppressive.
Course was in great shape, greens were a little sandy, and the views were amazing, especially on the back 9. Pro shop staff was fine, but didn't make anyone feel special. Fantastic restaurant with great views from the deck.
I am a 16 hdcp and would not play this course again. It was fun, but between the difficulty and the heat, I wanted to enjoy my round and I didn't here.Written September 11, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Ruthanne helped with the planning and the ceremony was spectacular on the edge of the canyon with an unbeatable view. The reception went off without a hitch and Jack and his crew were very helpful the whole evening through. Couldn't have been organized better and hats off to the chef and his kitchen crew for an excellent dinner. We will be back and the next time to golf. - TweetyfergVernon, Canada179 contributionsBeautiful summer day, had lunch on the patio, service was very good, food was good, not exceptional, my husband's prawns were salty and not great but otherwise everything was very nice. A nice change and luv patio dining. Thank you.Written August 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Eldon-VancouverVancouver, Canada499 contributionsIt's been a few years since I played here and forgot how hilly and narrow the course was. Good course management is required and makes you play a variety of clubs and different shots. A lot of fun in contrast to wide open courses where you can just bomb it off the tee and not get into trouble with a wayward shot.
What irked our group was the marshal on the course. We started our round after the first group was off the green as instructed by the starter. About 5 holes later, we were still about the same pace behind the group in front of us so we weren't falling behind. He asked us to speed up and then followed us for a couple of holes. What annoyed us was instead of actually checking to see if we were slowing the overall pace, he just assumed we were. We saw him chatting with the cart girl for the entire time we played the 5th hole. He didn't check that we were almost a hole ahead of the group behind us. I work at a golf course as well so understand what actual slow play is. We finished the round in 3 hours and 50 minutes, well ahead of the suggested time. When we finished, we couldn't even see the group behind us. Despite that unpleasant experience, we enjoyed the course. 4 stars for the course and other staff, zero stars for the marshall.Written September 24, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Peter GKelowna18 contributionsSunset Ranch has just about everything you want in a golf course: challenging design, excellent conditions, beautiful views, reasonable rates and an outstanding attitude in the pro shop and in the restaurant. Right at the top of my Kelowna list!Written October 2, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- twysted2015Kelowna, Canada2,358 contributionsI have golfed here multiple times over the years, and have always had a good experience. Staff have been friendly and accommodating and the price points are very good. Golfed last week the second day they were open and they still had some snow on the course and some ground under repair as there were some water issues, but this was to be expected so early in the season. 4 of us walked 18 and we found for the most part, the entire course in very good shape. It’s not a high end course, just solid and fun to play. I find the fairways usually always in very good shape(hole one has some water issues) and the tee boxes are uneven but overall it’s always a good time for a wide range of skill levels and walks of life. Will definitely return.Written March 20, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- GeoffreyIrvineKelowna, Canada58 contributionsWell there is nothing more ‘traditional’ or beautiful than the Kelowna Golf and Country Club. Beautiful beyond amazing....service perfect...and now a new menu...VEGAN option. Delicious. Thank you. - vincenta926Seattle, WA176 contributionsYou have two options to play either their natural course or their turf course. I opted for their natural course.
The view is amazing as it overlooks the lake and is near the freeway. The natural course was actually pretty tough with some breaks that I couldn't read and some hills that are a bit of a monster.
If you are a hardcore golfer, you won't like these greens. They are a bit rough so you will have to muscle your putts. It could throw off your feel on a real course. Just know that going into it and you will have fun!Written September 4, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Lots of challenges hitting balls up hills and over water ways. The scenery at every hole is absolutely stunning. Recommend renting a cart instead of carrying clubs up and down the hills. - Kelsey LCalgary, Canada103 contributionsWe golfed here twice while in Kelowna mid-July this year. They have carts available if needed, but you can also easily walk this short course. The course itself was well-maintained and beautiful, winding through the apple orchard. The price was great, especially because when you pay for 1 round, you get the next round 2 for 1! I'd go back for sure!Written July 30, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jordan BWhitehorse, Canada23 contributionsMet co-owner Robin for the first time today. I called ahead and his greeting on the phone had excitement and a friendly welcome tone and he was even nicer in person. Had the chance to meet Butch (who was golfing too) who is the father of a friend of mine from way back (small world as we talked for a half hour about all of the mutual friends we know). Robin was a great host, facilities made for an excellent practice environment and the rain today was not an issue with the covered driving area.
The country flag markers as well as various targets made practicing quite enjoyable.
I will come again when in town. Thanks for the hospitality.Written August 11, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Just 15 minutes from downtown, lots of shade from the mature trees, especially on the front 9. A round can easily be finished in three hours. Yes, the noise guns from the adjacent farm have a tendency to go off during your downswing, and there are some brown patches on the fairways, and some huge areas of ground that should be under repair but aren't, and poor directional signage to the next tee box. But it's cheap and friendly and fun, and there are certainly worse ways to spend a summer afternoon.Written September 12, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
