What travellers are saying
- FredColby, KS45 contributionsGreat views, bike not needed but you can see more of the trail with a bike. Hiked in to the first trestle (about 1KM or 1/2 mile) and views of the forest, valley, Kelowna are very nice and peaceful (on a Tuesday). Saw others reviews complaining about the road to the trail head. Really? There were probably 50 vehicles at the trail head when we arrived from micro cars to pickup trucks. The road is not that bad.
Rental bikes starting at $50 per 4 hours seems excessive.Written September 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - butchartdLondon, Canada163 contributionsThis walk will take most people about an hour to go up. As you ascend, you will notice a fantastic view of the city from above. Well worth the trip. There’s also a convenient fancy full set of washrooms at the top.Written September 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Valerie CAbbotsford, Canada7 contributionsIt would have been more peaceful if they weren't mowing the lawn and doing lawn care outside of the garden. Its a very zen place to go to get away from the noise.Written June 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Valerie CAbbotsford, Canada7 contributionsPerfect for walking and getting outside to see the lake. For a city park and walkway it is very clean. There are lots of benches and grass to sit on, and things to go such as Parasailing.Written June 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Norm45Montreal, Canada125 contributionsOn our roadtrip from Vancouver to Banff, we had a chance to stop by this place and book a 3-course meal paired with wins of the estate. AMAZING! The place is located up the hill at only 15 minutes from Kelowna. The food was just unbelievably tasty and well presented. The experience worth the detour. If you're passing by the area, try to book your experience online...really easy! You won't be desappointed.Written August 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Madeleine SWest Kelowna, Canada58 contributionsThis winery is truly a gem. It is in Kelowna north high on the hills. Their specialty is red wines but they have others too. The decor is amazin g with all the flowers and shaded outdoors with tables where you can bring a picnic lunch and enjoy a bottle or glass with your lunch. A definitely “not miss”.Written August 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- deepakgupta5Vancouver, Canada592 contributionsThis lovely waterfront park is adjacent to the downtown Marina. It is a beautiful place for a leisurely stroll or activities such as swimming, sunbathing, watersports, beach volleyball etc. We also saw an inflated floating playground on the lake for the kids. The park offers a wonderful view of Okanagan Lake. There are a number of restaurants offering a wide choice of cuisines within walking distance. All in all, a great place to spend an afternoon or evening or the entire day.Written August 25, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Eileen SLantzville, Canada16 contributionsA charming park with well-maintained and sign-posted trails. I took an easy walk to the turtle pond, crossing the creek on a pedestrian bridge and ascending some stairs, then mostly flat and all very easy. Saw plenty of quail and the pond was (as advertised) full of painted turtles.Written August 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Travel25346533585891 contributionsBoyce-Gyro Beach Park has a Very Nice Beach. It is well maintained and has a good family friendly feel to it. Summer weekends can be overly busy. You really want to visit on a weekday if you can. If it was not so busy I would give 5 Stars without hesitation.Written April 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Samuel HCalgary, Canada434 contributionsCame here on Wednesday and Saturday near the end of August. The Saturday one definitely has the most vendors. Even went to the small one on Sunday at the waterfront.
Parking is challenging if you're coming from the South side of Kelowna. The first time we went was on Wednesday and we parked at the mall across the street. The second time on Saturday we found the dirt parking lot beside the market that you can get in from the North side.
There was a good selection of vendors from alchohol, soda, honey, fruit and vegetables, crafts, food trucks and everything in between.
It was a great way to spend an hour or so wandering down the aisles taking a look at all the offerings. It can get quite crowded on Saturday's so watch out for that.Written August 29, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. He was very knowledgeable about the winery as well as the wine making in the Okanagan Valley. We all made some purchases of some wines to enjoy later.Written July 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Drew WTyler, TX33 contributionsGreat moderate hike for solo, family (teens) or couples. The falls were well worth the trip as parts are fairly steep to climb. The water levels were low but the falls didn’t disappoint.Written July 31, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
