- aayushrivastavaVaughan, Canada442 contributionsWe went there for a business meeting. While the shared platter style food was okay, the service was excellent and we loved the overall experience. - STS9Hamilton, Canada196 contributionsWe live in Kelowna in Black Mountain and we try to bring all of our guests to the restaurant for at least one meal during their stay.
The vegan calamari and salmon are always a winner. The staff are always friendly and Stephen, the owner, if he’s around, will stop off at your table just to say hi. The organic Pinot Gris is very distinctive with an almost golden colour and it is very aromatic.
So why only a 4 star you ask. Communications when trying to make a reservation are next to zero. We have been turned away at the door because no one would pick up the telephone at the restaurant so we would drive down to the restaurant but we would always have a back up destination in mind which many times we have had to go to.
I suggest that maybe they could have a calendar on their web site for when they are hosting larger events to save guests from driving down and being turned away and disappointed.
Last night (25th) as usual the food was amazing and Lynne our server was great extremely personal, friendly and knowledgeable. Her manager was also there at a table and she took her ( The only server) away from her duties for an extended period of time to talk about work and this took her away from her duties so we just sat patiently and waited for her to finish so we could leave. We could here all of their conversation and it was quite peculiar that they would have a work update at the tables in a fine restaurant when we sat just 2 tables away.
Either way the food, wine and service was as always a solid 10, with the season winding down maybe Stephen and his mgmt team can look at their reservation process and the ability to communicate to customers if the restaurant is booked out for private events and therefore no walk in customers would be permitted.
Not the cheapest place in town but worth the trip. We will see you soon and hopefully they will post shortly if the restaurant is remaining open this winter season.
Great job Stephen

The wines were all good. But the selling point was really the lady doing our tasting. She clearly was on a mission to kick off our weekend in the best way possible. - Tod AKelowna, Canada153 contributionsWe attended Tootsie last night February 15th, 2024! It was so good; from start to finish so good, the actors were excited, committed and talented. Michael Dorsey (Michael Esposito II) was played brilliantly. Ron Carlisle (Andrew De Pieri) was spot on and memorable. Sandy (Joanne Ryan) went toe to toe with Michael and, Jeff for that matter, who by the way was very enjoyable as well. Julia (Guiliana Borsella) was the calmness through out the storm and at times that was how it felt while LMAO! Bloody Brilliant, highly recommend!Written February 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Carrie EVernon, Canada130 contributionsOur wine server Kara made this visit worthwhile, she was friendly and very knowledgeable about the wines. We had to book ahead then there was a slight delay getting in because of a fire nearby. We liked lots of the wines and did not feel rushed to taste and go. The cashier Linda W might have been having a bad day as she was not very friendly. We were quite shocked that they wouldn't take cash which is legal tender in Canada and I thought against the law not to accept it???Written September 6, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GenePPHenderson, NV82 contributionsThe museum is divided into a Wine and Orchard Section. It has nice exhibits and staff try to make your visit memorable. The bee hive is interesting and history and how to make ice wine informative. If you have and hour or two a great way to spend it.Written November 2, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - calgaryguyKelowna, Canada476 contributionsWe have lived in Kelowna for 10 years and this was our first visit. Shame on us.
Small galleries have a certain charm. They do not come across as imposing, as big museums do. They also present other than the masters, so are a little easier to appreciate.
This gallery met these criteria and we enjoyed our visit. The focus was on Canadian artists and some of the works were lovely and some were quirky. Not all met with our admiration, but we enjoyed being exposed to the variety. There was a separate gallery dedicated to the grizzly bear, and a third exhibit showing interviews about racism. We preferred the Canadian artists' exhibit.
We were greeted pleasantly and will be back. We concluded our Sunday afternoon with a pleasant walk along the waterfront and a coffee at an outdoor patio. Great afternoon.Written September 25, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They’ve done really well with their variety of honey wines that we tried. Really cute estate too.
