What travellers are saying
- FredColby, KS53 contributionsGreat views, bike not needed but you can see more of the trail with a bike. Hiked in to the first trestle (about 1KM or 1/2 mile) and views of the forest, valley, Kelowna are very nice and peaceful (on a Tuesday). Saw others reviews complaining about the road to the trail head. Really? There were probably 50 vehicles at the trail head when we arrived from micro cars to pickup trucks. The road is not that bad.
Rental bikes starting at $50 per 4 hours seems excessive.Written September 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We caught the animal show the second visit, which was well worth it! Extra fun that you can feed the animals little treats the staff provide.Written September 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - butchartdLondon, Canada180 contributionsThis walk will take most people about an hour to go up. As you ascend, you will notice a fantastic view of the city from above. Well worth the trip. There’s also a convenient fancy full set of washrooms at the top.Written September 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Valerie CAbbotsford, Canada7 contributionsIt would have been more peaceful if they weren't mowing the lawn and doing lawn care outside of the garden. Its a very zen place to go to get away from the noise.Written June 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Valerie CAbbotsford, Canada7 contributionsPerfect for walking and getting outside to see the lake. For a city park and walkway it is very clean. There are lots of benches and grass to sit on, and things to go such as Parasailing.Written June 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - deepakgupta5Vancouver, Canada591 contributionsThis lovely waterfront park is adjacent to the downtown Marina. It is a beautiful place for a leisurely stroll or activities such as swimming, sunbathing, watersports, beach volleyball etc. We also saw an inflated floating playground on the lake for the kids. The park offers a wonderful view of Okanagan Lake. There are a number of restaurants offering a wide choice of cuisines within walking distance. All in all, a great place to spend an afternoon or evening or the entire day.Written August 25, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - busybeeee2016Haywards Heath, UK49 contributionsWe were staying at El Dorado hotel and this walk is about 5 minutes away. Can’t believe it’s not advertised more. If you like nature this a beautiful walk along the river on a pretty flat terrain. We walked to Mission Creek Park where we saw turtles which was an unexpected bonus! We saw so much wildlife including a bald eagle which was the highlight for us. If we’d had more time in Kelowna we would have hired bikes and discovered more of this beautiful trail. Our total walk was about 15km but it wasn’t taxing and would highly recommend if you love nature.Written May 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Travel25346533585940 contributionsBoyce-Gyro Beach Park has a Very Nice Beach. It is well maintained and has a good family friendly feel to it. Summer weekends can be overly busy. You really want to visit on a weekday if you can. If it was not so busy I would give 5 Stars without hesitation.Written April 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Samuel HCalgary, Canada434 contributionsCame here on Wednesday and Saturday near the end of August. The Saturday one definitely has the most vendors. Even went to the small one on Sunday at the waterfront.
Parking is challenging if you're coming from the South side of Kelowna. The first time we went was on Wednesday and we parked at the mall across the street. The second time on Saturday we found the dirt parking lot beside the market that you can get in from the North side.
There was a good selection of vendors from alchohol, soda, honey, fruit and vegetables, crafts, food trucks and everything in between.
It was a great way to spend an hour or so wandering down the aisles taking a look at all the offerings. It can get quite crowded on Saturday's so watch out for that.Written August 29, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. And can get alot of bee's, there was one park Ranger that was "jerk" but ALL the rest were great, no mre bugs then normal campsites. I read in here there was a couple that had 100's of esrwigs all over their stuff, i dont even know how that is possible in dark or damp places. I've literally camped here every year 2-3 times each year never seen more then a few earwigs under a stick or rock, Never 100's crawling all over everything NEVER!! Fintry is great site. I noticed another family had said they had partying issues with people, i can't say they didn't have this problem, but ive have never heard of it before this campground is pretty stricked. I am no partier at all, and would absolutely hate that to happen to me but again for the rangers to say oh they are locals n come often... not cool!! I really love this place even if it's just 25mins from my house lol keep safe!!Written May 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Charlene kaye D1 contributionI believe the farm is family run they were ALL so welcoming and nice ! They only let certain number of people in to the farm at a time so it is not overly crowded. I suggest go early (like as soon as they open) so you don't have to wait until the group before you finish picking. I highly recommendWritten August 13, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
