- Weary Traveller6 contributionsShort drive from the beach and a short (5 min) walk up. Beautiful views of both Okanagan and Skaha Lakes. How did they get the concrete of the Penticton sign to work???Written September 16, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Yvonne BPenticton, Canada407 contributionsAs my sister, her son and I walked along the KVR Trail in the Naramata Bench, we stopped to view a 35-foot tall and 50-foot long metal T-Rex affectionately named Alice. She weighs in at 12,000 pounds and looks over the lake and city of Penticton. Although standing on private property, she is situated in a prominent place so that the public can enjoy her too. The landowner commissioned Kevin Stone , a metal artist to create this realistic sculpture with a mirror polished finish. It took two years to complete before Alice could be transported, with great care and difficulty, to her new home. From where we were standing, we could see her very sharp, one-foot long teeth and characteristic small arms. We want to return at night to see Alice again in all her terrifying glory!Written September 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - OKDrewSummerland, Canada7 contributionsMosquitoes can be horrific at the southern trailhead, but pretty views from the peak. It was waist-deep snow in early June this year.Written July 12, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
