Awesome day skiing. The conditions were perfect and the terrain appropriate for the skill level advertised. If you love to ski powder worth the money.

We stopped by to learn more about mining in Rossland as a relative had worked in mining in ere was lots to explore in the museum including mining, glass bottles over time, sports history in Rossland and lots of other interesting displays. There is also an outdoor area which we explored to see more of the mining tools and vehicles.

    Quite an interesting stop.

We had 2 1/2 days of fabulous snow and skiing on this mountain. It was our first time here and we loved everything about it. The mountain is a quick 8 minutes from the town of Rossland. Parking is free and right at the base of the lodge. There are lockers outside, but everyone leaves their things in either the cubbies in the coffee shop or in the base lodge restaurant. They offer free tours of the mountain at 9am and 1 pm. My husband took the intermediate tour and I did the beginner tour with Sue. I highly recommend doing this first thing. The mountain is large and it was great to get insight on where to go and the best way to navigate the terrain. We ate at the Constella Clubhouse our first day- pretty little place and then the 2nd day at the Paradise Lodge. They are near each other and are accessed by the Paradise Lift. Even though the lifts are all slow, we still managed to get in a lot of vertical because we rarely waited in a line. Rafters after skiing for a drink and snack is also a must. Great vibe.
We rarely stay at the base of the mountain, but there are very few places to stay in Rossland. We will make an exception next time we visit.

This pool was recommended to us and it didn't disappoint! There was a big water slide that the kids loved. There were both high and low dives. There was a big hot tub and huge kid area. The highlight though was the "ball drop". There's a large rubber ball attached to a rope that is lowered from the roof and 10 people pull on the rope to raise them 15-20 above the water level (smaller kids just say stop when they are as high as they want to go). The person then lets go and drops to the water. It was a riot. My kids did it a number of times. My wife and I each did it once (there weren't enough "big" people to help pull us up!!) and loved. Our kids said it was one of their favorite things we've done with them. It was so much fun!

Only 39 reviews before mine! ... Nice challenging day at Redstone Golf Course today.
Even with choppy punched greens I shot 42, 47 for an 89.
Please be bear aware though if you read this post and play this scenic forest course.
Super duper slow round so a Sunday marshall would have been welcomed!
Customer service pretty good...a 9 out of 10.
    Scenery a 10.
    Playability a 9.

Would be so nice if they had a real washroom on each of the two nine hole sides and more recycle bins other than just two on entire course ONLY.

Carts really need much more TLC and proper clean jobs before heading out.

A few things fixed and this is easily a 9 out of 10. I give it a 7.5 overall though and enjoyed my day.

Main pic I included...managed to put it on the green over that scary looking water.

Recently got to ride the old rail bed from castlegar to Christina lake with my wife and her uncle and aunt! The first day was from the gate to Farron station and was full of stories and history from the past! The trestles and tunnels were what made this section of trail! The trail itself is wide and easy and hard packed but the wow factor comes from the bulldog tunnel and the numerous high trestles! If you’re into rail riding I’d definitely head out for a day of exploring!!

Beautiful artwork, rich colours and a very canadian style (I think!). Something for all budgets - if you can't fit one of her beautiful paintings into your suitcase you could always buy a card or fridge magnet.

The trails are groomed every morning and offer a wide variety to suit every ability. There are a few kilometres of lit trail, but it is very popular to go out with headlamps in the evenings. Rentals are available at the trail head kiosk. Three lovely warm up cabins on the trail system. My lab loves greeting his friends on the dog loop.

It has spectacular scenery, with high mountains, beautiful vistas from the highway and the potential to see wildlife. BC Highways are immaculately maintained as well.

Janet has a funky shop with great gifts, clothing and more but her willingness to help out clients with anything they need to know about Rossland is phenomenal. She will always direct you to who or what you need while you are visiting.
