What travellers are saying
- Camper316630953921 contributionStudent band trip. This experience was an easy 10/10, staff were incredible, and I highly recommend this company for anyone looking for a spectacular getaway.
Rain, hail and sunshine, and they still managed to keep 40+ kids engaged, taught us all some history of the area and all about the amazing wildlife we encountered.Written March 16, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Our guide was experienced and took us to a small cove where we saw a bear at the waters edge, we then moved further along the shore and saw a mother bear with two cubs. We also stopped to watch some sea otters and harbor seals which was a bonus.
This was without doubt the highlight of our Canadian trip and we couldn’t have asked for anything more, it was amazing.Written November 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The pilot/guide was able to find 2 or 3 grey whales and a humback, along with sea purred and lions.
Jean Yves was an excellent host and knowledgeable of the area.Written March 21, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This was the first trip of this kind we’d ever done. The otters were completely adorable, and we got to see them so clearly. The sea lions were funny and entertaining, so noisy! And finally we saw 8-10 grey whales, which was totally magical & awe inspiring. One was surface feeding so we could see a lot of the length of it. Plenty of tails as the whales dove down to feed. Thanks Jackie & west coast!Written October 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Natalie M1 contributionWe had the most spectacular day with the Ahous Adventures crew on a trip to the Hot Springs Cove. The guide was extremely knowledgeable, and we saw many different local wildlife such as sea lions, grey whales, eagles and otters. Once getting to the spot the walk is beautiful through the trees and all boardwalk so easy for folks of all ages. The hot springs were beautiful and we had the best time. Would highly recommend booking with Ahous adventures!!!Written January 20, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SherpAusCanVictoria, Canada1 contributionWe had a great morning tour out bear watching! Initially we weren’t sure it would even happen with the thick fog but Eugene took us out and we saw 6 separate bears, some very close! He was a friendly guide and told us about his experience in the area and about the small first nations family business. It was a nice group size with only 8 people fitting on the boat and a proper metal hulled boat so we didn’t come close to seasick.
Would definitely tour with them again!Written September 6, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Marcie was super easy to contact using the number via the website and managed to fit us in the next day and communication was great. Skookum was an amazing captain and super knowledgable. We saw Grey whales, sea lions and a huge raft of otters. I asked alot of questions and Skookum answered all of them! If we return to Tofino we will definitely book to do the hot springs tour.Written September 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Madison B2 contributionsMy husband and I booked a trip with Adam for his birthday and our baby moon! This was a bucket list item for both of us, and it definitely did not disappoint!!
We told our captain Mickey that we wanted to catch halibut and salmon, and he went out of his way to try and accommodate that even though we were quite late into the season for those types of fish. After no luck with the halibut (but still an amazing morning on the water and fishing), he took us over to a great spot to make sure we didn’t come up empty handed and got some cod. We ended up maxing out our cod limits and catching numerous rock fish as well.
Overall the communication with Adam was incredible. He made sure we had the best possible day and held two days aside so we could decide last minute based on conditions. He was attentive, answered all questions very quickly and amazing customer service.
Our guide, Mickey, was super knowledgeable, gave great advice and helped us immensely, and answered our never ending questions.
Overall an absolutely incredible day, and we look forward to coming back and doing this again soon!Written October 15, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
