- tony lVancouver, Canada5,251 contributionsHad a lovely time at the Steamworks Pub by myself during the long weekend cycling downtown , it is more touristy Pub then restaurant , also very popular place for locals hang out , surprised the restaurant fully packed and noisy mostly a lot of tourist with their shopping bags but there still few tablets outside the patio is open , there happy hours is 3 pm to 5 pm and their weekend brunch is 11 am to 3 pm , not a large menu but lot of choices , I choose the Chicken wing and 2pc Fish Chips , happy to say both very delicious not oily , wings very meaty Fish crispy outside juicy inside taste fresh friendly staff never feel be rush at all , great relaxing lunch no problem coming back here soon with my cycling buddy for Brunch !Written September 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gayle B1 contributionWe saw their Middle-aged Boy Band show and it was hilarious!!! They are so talented and did improv bits and had us singing along. The music was great and we sang along and danced in our seats. Some of the best improv I’ve seen in a while, too! So talented! We had a blast! It was an absolutely excellent evening - thanks very much to Long Table, your team and your sushi partner! Chad does a really great job on the cocktail side, both making them and showing us how to make some.
For the sushi part, Kelly of Pine Sushi did a very good job too with her chef Kai, and it was a lot of fun for the team to first listen and watch how to make sushi, and then move on to make our own. There was a band the night we went so there was a line to get in and a cover once we got up to the front. It was packed inside, so I didn't get a drink, but we made our way to the dance floor. Overall the band was good and the dance floor was fun. Definitely a place for a younger crowd. We popped next door and ordered a Neapolitan pizza which we were able to enjoy inside the Boxcar. The music was kept at a reasonable volume to allow conversation. Golf was alot of fun, the bar service was excellent, and the snacks were tasty (bread sticks). - Chelsea AWashington DC, DC815 contributionsThe cover, too high- was like $20, 25?. I didn't have cash and I was visiting from out the country so I had to pay HELLA fees at that ATM. Coat check, very reasonable, I appreciated that.
So I had a bartender that I was/still am obsessed with. She was super helpful and attentive. Not to mention SUPER ATTRACTIVE. She kept my friends and I well "juiced" and just added to my experience altogether. I would come again for her. So I don't remember her name because me memory is terrible and I don't know where my receipts are, but it started with a J. Jess? Jen? (she has a ton of tattooss, a tonnnnnnnnnn) But she was great.
The club played uhm i would say mainly 90s hits? Not bad. My friends and I had a god time. Luckily we didn't have to wait in a line, so that was cool. We got there around 11something i believe...
I like the fact that there are couches so I can sit my lazy self down.. Pretty solid crowd. The venue itself was just as we had imagined with a Bunko in the corner and everyone in a country vibe, with decent music to match the atmosphere.
