I have purchased three paintings from Pousette over the last few years and I'm always excited to see what new pieces and artists Maryann discovers next. She knows her clientele well and her customer service is impeccable. If asked, Maryann will give her honest and professional opinion about various works in order to guide you through the selection process. Buying original art can be an intimidating process but not with Maryann who makes it her personal mission to exceed your expectations and enjoy the experience from start to finish. High quality North west coast art. I will visit it whenever I'm in Vancouver. For example, a few years ago I was looking for a paperback which they didn't have, so I gave them a card and asked that they phone me if one came in. Not only did they say they would do so, they directed me to their competition about a block away - how's THAT for putting the customer first? (No, they didn't have it either).
Anyhow, about eight months later I got a phone call that my book was in. Down I went and paid about five bucks for an old paperback. To re-iterate; I call this great service. Similar experience on my recent visit. I was looking for a general subject, rather than a special book. The man took me over there and explained the filing system (yes, there really IS one).

It was two weeks ago and I did not write down her name, so it is not accessible at this time ;>). We brought several types home. finally got into the lemon pepper cashews and immediately went online to purchase more- a lot more. One of the employees asked what I was looking for, and she returned with exactly what I was looking for, and the size of hat that I needed. The hat is compact, foldable, spf, and adjustable for my big head. The hat was reasonably priced around $100. The girl helping us was so knowledgeable about the artists and what was local and their inspirations. The variety of items they had was amazing. I loved the help of deciding which chains to go with which pendants and the lengths. My friend and I walked out with many amazing, beautiful and unique pieces. The prices were spot on. I have received many compliments for the jewelry I bought. Occasionally I find a helpful staff member, but they're often inattentive, and way too cool to be helpful. That's definitely a change, unwelcome, over the past dozen years or so.
