- Mina C3 contributionsMy husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our Granville Island food tour. Michael was our tour guide. He was fantastic. He’s full of knowledge about all of the shops inside of the Public Market, as well as, Granville Island itself. He gave very clear instructions throughout the tour (got crowded quickly inside) to transition from one tasting to the next. Would recommend if visiting Granville Island for the first time, as it can feel very overwhelming with the many vendors inside of the Public Market. The tour helps narrow down which shops/vendors to choose from:)

I was very comfortable and the communication was great, he came to pick me up where I was staying and he took pictures for me. The Murder Mystery Adventure was well organized and very enjoyable! Would recommend for team building or even a group of friends wanting to do something different. Not only did the adults enjoy the process, but my kids also liked it. I especially recommend this guide, Rahat , who made the whole group atmosphere very relaxed and fun with her humor and wit! The pizza at Gastown Gastronomy was very good and we closed out the meal with a special tiaramisu. Colin is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate and provides such context for understanding the way that First Nations people through the modern day have interacted with the trees of Vancouver. The walk through Stanley Park is also just incredibly lovely and provided such a great opportunity to ask about things you may have noticed before but never understood, like the relationship between moss and trees or how the lifecycle of different trees works. The walk through the temperate rainforest was absolutely brilliant and very educational...even for a couple in their late 50's .... Lunch was perfect and the cycle ride around the blueberry/cranberry fields,rivers,canals was perfect. Everything was 'easy' ... No drama...just a really enjoyable day out. Your friendly manner puts everybody at ease.... Even if one member of our group wanted to 'go their own way' rather than stay with the rest of the cyclists.... You managed everything very well. Your equipment and cycles are clearly well maintained, and the varied frame sizes catered for everybody on the ride. I've got plenty of retro Gary Fisher frames if you want a mountain bike building up. :-)

We are locals familiar with gastown, but we still managed to learn new things about this neighbourhood. I highly recommend doing this tour on Halloween night as we did, as it makes for extra spooky story telling. Cole Breckell was our guide and did a fantastic job portraying a character named "George" from the late 1800s, recounting true stories of murder, drowning, fires, and much more.
