Joined the Granville Island Market Food Tour and had a wonderful time. We had a very nice tour guide who answered all of our questions. We wondered it there would be enough food for a meal but surprisingly, we were very full to the point that we could not have eaten one more bite. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the stories. Both my daughter and I would recommend this activity to others.
Parking in the morning was ample however by noon it was sparse.

We really enjoyed walking Vancouver and exploring the neighborhoods. Some areas of hig end shopping, some of little pubs. The waterfront was really nice at the Seawall with Marinas and planes. The high end shops near the Haytt Regency and Burrard street, Alberni and Robson street St and and North with all the small shops. So many patios and small eateries. The opposite direction on Robson towards the mall. So much to see when walking.

One of the more interesting places in Vancouver. Many great eateries that are good value and a but different. The only issue is the city does little to manage on street drug taking and homelessness. Its not necessary to have street homeless with so many empty buildings!

Take time to wander around here. It’s great. Down on the waterfront gives great views. Lots to look at. It’s here you can catch the water taxi too
    Highly recommend

What a surprise to see no one has added a comment since I was here about a year and a half ago. Must be Covid, because this neighbourhood has not lost a step or a vibe. The new construction that concerned me in my last report appears to be blending in well, and has not affected the general atmosphere. People continue to dress like they want to, and fresh food markets outnumber candy stores. I noted a few USA license plates along the way, and it occurred to me: travelers - if you miss Haight-Ashbury, I bet you'll have some recall if you drop by here.
Very cosmopolitan, great restaurants, bars, and boutiques. Tourists, please take the Skytrain from downtown so you can spend an afternoon.

The Chinatown area felt unsafe. The buildings looked unkempt. Many were permanently closed. There were homeless people lining the streets. We moved quickly out of the area.

Been almost two years since I've been down this way. Interesting to see how rapidly things change - especially vertically. This is essentially a residential neighbourhood.
Located between Stanley Park to the north and the Central Business District to the east, small wonder there is a high demand for residential space. However, lovers of history and old buildings will be pleased to know some original houses still remain to spice up the encroaching high rises. Maybe take a walk around Nelson Park to see what I mean.

Great place to stay if you do not want to be in the city. The bus stops right in front so it’s easy to get around. Rooms are quaint quiet and clean. Eggs are made to order every morning and there’s plenty to eat.

The City of Vancouver can hardly be considered as one big homogeneous place, especially when one visits great neighbourhoods like Commercial Drive, or this one.
While bounded by Cambie, Clark, 2nd, and King Ed, the heart has to be Main Street running south from Broadway. I found Red Cat Records (vinyl galore!) Vietnamese restaurants, pocket parks, and a poodle statue (really!). I'm getting to be of an age to be unable to report on the nightlife, but saw signs that the night before must have been fun for some. I enjoyed the walk through the past, and hope you do too!

This location is a mix of commercial and residential, not quite the same as as downtown. Well worth the experience to check it out, use transit or vehicle.

A leafy suburb with some older houses to look at, good cafe too. Unfortunately we couldn't go in, due to some filming in the area.Go to Nelson Park area too.

We stayed in an Airbnb in Strathcona for 6 nights while in Vancouver. It's a nice looking and well-to-do neighbourhood about 5 minutes walk from Chinatown and 15 minutes walk from Pacific Central Station. It is well connected by public transport and had some nice restaurants close by.

Also know as little Punjab , it is a commercial district between 51 Ave to 49 Ave , lot of South Asian , Indo / Punjabi Canadian live in the neighbourhood , this area during the 70's it is hustle and bustle place , so crowd , special the week end , but sad to say now , a lot of shops and restaurants moved to Surry , so do not set your expectations too high , if you a tourist stay down town , for sure , save your money on the taxi , you will very disappointing and waste your time , not much to seen . lot of new residential building in the area . not very safe at night .

I love the area with its tiny shady parks with bench seats, its many food spots and the Jim Deva Plaza, honouring a man who fought censorship.
