We enjoyed the show in the big top tent. The performance was wonderful. The costumes, dancing and music added to the show. Since we were visitors to this area and unfamiliar with the festival, we first had tickets to Romeo and Juliette which were in a smaller tent, with no view of the mountains. We didn't realize this from the website and changed our tickets as that was the experience we wanted.

I had a lot of fun at the improv theatre, during the late night show. The Cast is very talented, and I especially enjoyed it appeared like they were having fun as well, which I always love to see. I sat at the tables, which I was a bit intimidated at first, because I was worried I would get heckled or dragged on stage when I wasn't prepared for it, but that wasn't the case and they only expect crowd involvement if the audience is wiling to volunteer. However it is very intimate where instead of like a stand up or a play you can sense the cast acknowledging your presence.

All and all a great place to go with friends, a great date night too. Tickets were only 10$ 17$ with a drink. There was lots of laughing, but I honestly just enjoyed watching the cast perform various scenarios as they are all great actors and entertainers.

I purchased a ticket for Dolly Parton's Smokey Mountain Christmas Carol tomorrow evening. I was duped by the Arts Club Theater into believing that they had a Covid Protocol in place - no intermission, sparse seating, no bar, masks, etc. Today (the day before the show) I receive an e-mail telling me there is an intermission, the bar is open, the house will now be full. I had to cancel. I am furious. How dare you change the rules when I purchased them very specifically because you had them. For shame. I will NEVER enter this building EVER again.

I like the concept, and the people who work here are very kind. As a venue, the acoustics could be better, but food, liquor and the bands are all good. However, I am now old. I don’t feel old, and I don’t act old, but age tapped me on the shoulder when I wasn’t looking. There was a band we wanted to hear on Friday night. We stood on line over 45 minutes, and my body was in pain, and my wife was looking at me with her death stare. After 50 minutes, we ditched and went to L’Abattoir for drinks.

Saturday night we went back and we were able to wait on the patio. That was infinitely better, but the band lacked energy for some reason, and some bad dancers detracted from listening to the band. We will try to get into Guilt & Co. tonight, before or after our dinner at St. Lawrence. It’s all a crap shoot, but for me, I can wait in a line maybe 15 minutes. That’s why Guilt & Co gets four rather than five stars.

The non-profit, Kitsilano Showboat, which exists only on the basis of donations & volunteers gifting their time, has now entered its 88th year!
    Bring on the 88th season.
The Kitsilano Showcase brings multicultural performances — which also span artistic genre — to
    this perfect outdoor summer venue.
It is located on Cornwall, next to the Kitsilano Pool — overlooking the ocean.
It enables amateur performers a place to strut their stuff and widely diverse audiences, many families,
    to enjoy these for free.
    Long live the Kitsilano Showboat.

we had a rocky start as my friends forgot their tickets! the will call server was fully understanding and got us in with with no stress! it was a dec 28th matinee performance of the nutcracker with my friends from chile and me; we had excellent seating and enjoyed the heart warming and well performed flamenco in a great venue; it is a treasure to seek out on granville island

The first time I saw Instant Theatre's Streetfight show I was blown away by the speed of it. Hilarious, fast-paced comedy. A fantastic night out in East Van.

We were surprised when we realized that the venue was at a community centre and our expectations went down, but the performers proved our expectations wrong!
They were excellent and very entertaining, the performers were "pro's" in their handling of a tough kid-dominated audience.
Although we went as a couple just wanting some early New Years Eve entertainment, it was very well suited for family.
