We took two senior citizens, a 7-year old, a 10-year-old, and a woman with a disability on a rafting trip. In other words, most of us were pretty in capable of being very helpful on the Cheakamus Splash tour. But Nicholas, our guide, took the oars and gamely navigated us through an hour of incredible fun. I think our seven year old cackled every time we hit a decent splash. Expect to encounter about half a dozen splashes, and have lots of family fun. Nicholas explained how the area was settled by Airbnb homes, and shared stories of his rafting adventures. He was a super nice guide who knew how to handle kids and guide us. Everyone should follow the instructions that the tours provide you—arrive half an hour early, be in your bathing suits so you don’t have to change. No need to bring wetsuits, wet boots, helmets or jackets. Those are all provided! My parents said this rafting trip was their favorite activity of our entire 2-week trip to Vancouver and Whistler. Thank you, Nick and Canadian Outback!
