My son and I really enjoyed our kayaking afternoon out of Jericho Ecomarine Paddlesports. We rented a tandem kayak and explored Burrard Inlet for a few hours - what an amazing way to experience the area with an ultimate ocean view also checking out Point Grey and the fantastic homes being built along the waterfront. The staff at Ecomarine were awesome, they had gear and equipment ready and helped us plan our afternoon with the changing weather as first time paddlers in the neighbourhood.

Windsurfing is something I have always admired but felt intimidated by it. I’m turning 40 this year and it felt like the right time for me to try it out. So this summer I took the first two basic windsurfing lessons and I had a great experience. Jonathan, my instructor was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and he was very thorough. I’ll definitely continue on my windsurfing journey and I’d definitely recommend Windsure (and Jonathan) to anyone curious about this sport.

Don't be afraid - satisfy your interest and try it! Skilled, calm, and friendly teachers. I've done the liquid yoga at the Westin with Ian a few times and do the SUP yoga at White Rock beach with Tobey on a regular basis (I live in White Rock). Both are interesting awesome experiences. Being on the ocean looking at White Rock from the ocean is a breathtaking, meditative experience. You may fall in, but that's ok - we just get back up on our boards and complete the fantastic yoga. Nothing too difficult is done, and we are always walked through the poses slowly. Feel the water beneath you - it's fantastic! Anchors are provided to help stabilize the board so we don't float away or move much while doing the poses. There is always enough time given for meditation, appreciation of the environment around us, and some self reflection. No judgement among us. There is nothing like looking at the reflection of the sun on the ocean, from downward dog, or appreciating how blue the sky is from savasana! It is a 'moving' experience in all aspects! Try it!
