Stanley Park is a beautiful place. There is bike rental available, and dedicated bike lanes for easy cycling. The view to the water is quite nice. The Forrest is interesting and in varying degrees of growth from historic logging that took place here. Lovely place to walk.

We went to Granville Island out of curiosity and to see what all the fuss was about. I must admit, we were pleasantly surprised and impressed. Our fear had been that this would be an area of one tourist souvenir type store after another. It isn't.
Our cab dropped us off in the centre of the market area. We went into the main building, past the most gorgeous produce and provisions you can imagine to find ourselves in a lovely area of vendors selling fabulous handicrafts, jewelry, art, gourmet items etc. The experience was more like a fancy craft show than a tourist attraction.
The other buildings housed many different artisans and lovely stores selling everything fabulous from indigenous art to unique designer clothes, to paper products!
There are options for all pocketbooks and tastes with a focus on quality.
The area has several eateries, a wonderful food court area with all kinds of interesting treats and an outdoor venue for music and art.
We spent half a day, ending with lunch at the Sandbar, but we could have stayed much longer!

Fantastic aquarium with lots of different areas and animals to see. There is so much to see and do. Loved seeing the jellyfish, otters, seals, and poisonous frogs. Animals from around the world. Spent 3 enjoyable hours here. Highly recommend for all ages.

Always wanted to explore a hedge maze, and finally got to do it here! It's a decently huge hedge maze which I thoroughly enjoyed getting lost in, in the heat of summer. Besides that, it's very well manicured botanical garden, with several beautiful spots!

Nice area with independent shops and restaurants, we were told to be careful at nighttime as there are some dodgy people

Granville Island Market is a great place to start your visit to Vancouver and is definitely a must see - at least once! There are over 300 businesses operating here - it's packed full of gourmet food vendors, chocolate shops, bakeries, butchers, artisan boutiques, fresh fruit/veggie stands, and all sorts of other stuff.

We always visit when we're in the area - the pot pies from A La Mode are our savory go-to and for dessert we love the pastries at Stuart's Bakery. We've tried out quite a few of the vendors over the years of our visits and those two always stand out for us.

The market is very popular so it gets chaotic - especially when trying to find an empty lunch table. My only criticism is that the market needs to do a better job of cleaning off the tables but I know it's hard for everyone with staffing nowadays. The views from the seating areas are lovely! Expansive views of False Creek and the bridges and water taxis - a very nice place to refuel.

Prices vary widely between all the businesses but are mostly what you'd expect. Parking is in paid lots in the area and I don't remember the exact price but it wasn't outrageous. Definitely worth visiting - and be sure to check out the awesome massive art installation outside - called The Giants - They're very nicely painted, huge cement silos!!

The driver was friendly and professional, providing helpful information and handing out a brochure of Granville Island. The scenery along the way was beautiful, and I felt safe throughout the trip. The pricing was reasonable, and the easy credit card tabs made the process smooth. Highly recommend for a pleasant and informative boat ride!

We rented bikes and rode the sea wall for four hours. Stopping at the park to see the totem poles and admire the views. Along the path are bathrooms and rest stops. We stumbled upon a lovely botanical garden. On the way back we stopped for a glass of wine. It was a perfect morning in Vancouver.

Our tour guide took us here as we had extra time on our tour of Vancouver. What a beautiful spot. You should try to visit this park if you get the chance.

This is a stunning exhibition that is well worth the effort to get to UBC to see it. We took cabs, but public transit is an option.
The museum contains a wealth of artifacts and is very well laid out. Frankly, it felt very much like being in a sacred space. The history and information on totems and the phenomenal work on display takes your breath away!

The outside area was still under construction so we could not visit the house or the outside totems. This will be truly outstanding and visually remarkable when it is completed.

While there were children at the museum, I would suggest that it is probably best suited for children from about 8 years of age and up to truly understand the remarkable items they are viewing.

I am amazed this is #17 on things to do in Vancouver because this beach/area is beyond fabulous! This is one of the top things we like to do when visiting Vancouver. Going during nice weather is best would go anytime of year. Parking is a complete nightmare, however, so take public transit if at all possible or an Uber. Great restaurants in the area. Go for a nice, scenic walk then enjoy a nice meal overlooking the water. You won't regret it.
