Guide Dave Roger’s was very entertaining. Unfortunately we had less time than the description stated at both Butchart Gardens and also in Victoria. That was disappointing. We also did a lot of waiting for people who were late arriving to the bus. The gardens are amazing and well worth a visit. A half day there would have been nice. Victoria is also very interesting but since we hadn’t eaten at all by the time we got there (no lunch break), we spent much of our very brief time eating and had little time to see the city.

Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, experience was great. Maddie in particular went above and beyond to tell us the history of some of the whales and answered any questions we had.

Zac was a great driver. Full of information and willing to field questions. Butchart Gardens is absolutely beautiful! They provide clear umbrellas so you can still see the grandeur of the views in case of rain. Staff is wonderful. The visitor center even has a service to charge your phone. Good thing because you'll take lots of pictures and shoot videos.

The ferry rides to and back were fine. Lots of time on a bus, but it was well worth it.

We had a great trip out on the covered boat to search for whales. The staff were friendly and well organised. And we managed to see a humped back whale. A wonderful experience.

So glad we did this food tour! Easily walkable through mainly the Chinatown area. Andy was friendly and informative. We had a great selection of many different types of food: meatball, pastry, spring roll, pierogi, ube, matcha and more! Great way to see a little of the town, get a little history and have some fun. Would definitely do it again!

We recently joined the FAM trip on RV Toum Tiou II from Sai Gon, Viet Nam to Seam reap, Cambodia. It was a real charm and character trip. The ship was nice, colonial designed with three decks: main deck, upper deck and sun deck. Great local cuisines on board, five star services provided by the crews on board. Excellent excursions, etc were bringing us an unforgettable experience of the Mekong delta. We hope to come back with you soon.

We had a great time! Our driver/guide Byron was outstanding! In fact, I’d say he is what made the trip a success. We loved the history and all the interest facts about Vancouver, the waterways, islands, and Victoria. The trip to Butchart Gardens was a highlight of the day. Be prepared for a long day of sightseeing - it’s worth the price!

Our Niece,Husband and their Son visiting for a short visit with us from France on May 8 2024.

We had a beautiful Sunny Day to start our whale watching adventure.
Suiting up was both necessary and hilarious at the same time.
We all four of us followed our guide BENJE to the zodiac, which would take us on this journey into the unknown; on water.
The sea was so calm, with all eyes wide open searching for a BLOW from whales.
Our guide pointed out so many places of interest along our route heading North.
We were watched back by Seals,Eagles, and lots of other birds hitching rides on drift wood in the water.
THEN WE ARRIVED AT THE CIRCLING RAPIDS better known as Ripple Rock.
Benje told us about the blowing up of the rock, and the explosions used to get the job done.
It was an area that ships and pleasure boats feared because of the non visual rocks lurking below the surface.
We were a brave crew passing through this area.
    No sightings of whales yet.
We headed North and watched the river banks for animal life along the shores.
Without luck for our elusive whales we turned around and headed South.
Benje had a mission in mind ,a small island populated by Seals from California come up to us to add a thousand or more pounds of Canadian fish to their belts.
Several species of birds, and snakes which we happily did not see.
This island is only populated for a couple of mounts each year by humans doing research.
We took fun pictures of ourselves and the wild life, and enjoyed snacks and refreshments on these calm waters unbelievable for the middle of the ocean.
Benje was not giving up on the whales as he remarked it was still early in the year for volumes to be feeding on the fish in the area.
We had now run over our designated 4 hours but he was determined to show us all a whale.
So very slowly we cruised back to Campbell River and Marcella from France Calls out a blow to the left of us along Quadra Island!!!!!
Now we all were excited to watch with much delight the breaching elusive WHALE.
WELL DONE BENJE our memories of this day will go on forever!
Sincere Thanks to You and Eagle Eye Adventures Campbell River 100% the best day ever.

We were taken to places to eat where the locals go, tasty food, rounded off with sweet treats to die for. Brenda, our guide was chatty and knowledgeable, we met up at around 2.30 pm and didn’t need an evening meal.

The Gardens are phenomenal. Justin was an excellent driver and partial tour guide. Everything ran as expected except traffic getting to Victoria from the Gardens. The only downside is we were on a bus and ferry for ten of the thirteen hours and had less than an hour in Victoria which was just not enough. Both are must sees, and if I had to do it over again, I’d split it into two with an overnight in Victoria.

The tour was wonderful and the driver was very knowledgeable about the history of Victoria. Knew small details about the area and good recommendations for others activities and restaurants in the city

This was an awesome tour and and I felt very save even so we had a bit of wind and waves.
The crew, and especialy Mika, told us everything about the animals we might see e.g., food choices of the different orcas and where we might see them and why. We also got cool fub facts about the different islands where we searched for animals ( in the end we saw sea lions, seals, dolphins, a huge group of orcas and in the port i spotted some see otters in the end).
I can only recommend this tour/team, it was awesome!
    Best wishes fro Germany, Katharina
