What travellers are saying
- Gary K1 contributionCurtis and his crew are excellent. They know the territory and provide superior service and attention to detail. You obviously don’t hire a fishing guide to save money on fish. If all you want is a salmon filet, go to Costco. But if you want to enjoy the beauty of coastal Vancouver Island, learn a bit about the region and the folks who inhabit it, relax, and occasionally reel in a Coho or King, this is the experience for you. We caught our limit, but it took time and patience. It was well worth the experience! One caveat: Shipping your catch to the US is out of Curtis’ control and extremely expensive. We suggest you either eat it that night, flash freeze and take it home with you, or release it for another angler to enjoy.Written October 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Martin T2 contributionsGreat day on the water in a very nice boat. Sam was a great guide and from what I could tell we caught far more fish than others out on the water. We got our and we'll be back.Written October 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Michelle Ciemala1 contributionI am so grateful that I had the opportunity to travel to the Orca Camp.
It was pure magic right from the beginning, when a pod of Orcas escorted us all the way to the Camp.
The following days were packed with adventures, landbased Whale watching, laughter, photography, good conversations, delicious food and the possibility to relax and forget every day life.
The Camp is so full of Love, you can feel it in every detail and in every decoration. Jesse and Dan, the Guides, and Sandra are loving this place. And they love showing it to their Guests.
Greywolf Expeditions showed me a new way of whale watching. This company pays attention to animal welfare like no other company I have traveled with.

Over 50 chinooks to the boat, limits of lingcod and halibut… all in 3 days! The food and accommodations is second to none. Adrian and Angie are amazing hosts and do not miss one detail. The guides are extremely professional and provide non-stop entertainment. I 100% recommend for anyone looking to experience the best fishing in the world in the most beautiful setting of Zeballos and the Esperanza Inlet.Written August 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sam S1 contributionWell my review is that we were NOT able to go on this adventure with Cameron Ocean Adventures due to having vertigo. We contacted Caleb right away in the morning and told him our story and he right away said thanks for calling early and if he could fill our spots, as he had people interested, he would credit us back in full. They did just that. We are so bummed that we were not able to attend, but are very, very grateful for Caleb sympathizing with our situation. Thanks Caleb and Cameron Ocean Adventures. Hope to come back soon to join you.Written October 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Cruiser771849Ucluelet, Canada34 contributionsCan you imagine fishing in Clayoquot sound on a beautiful September afternoon. I live out here, but as I work on one of the resorts. We do not get out often. A group from the front desk had the opportunity to go out on an adventure. To personally experience fishing with Coastal Charters. We got the full treatment. We started off setting a couple of crab traps. Then a boat ride to the top end of Vargus Island. Fishing is an exercise in patience. But we enjoyed the sunshine and the gentle roll of waves and the scenery. It took time before we landed our first fish. We changed spots and viewed a curious sea otter who showed us how. No whales this trip. By late afternoon we caught a couple more. Two of my coworkers caught their first fish ever. Then we went to pickup our crab traps. Discovered that it is hard work. Then back to the dock. A wonderful day with some team building and some sun burn.Written September 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We caught our limit within a couple of hours. The next time we visit Tofino, we hope to fish with Rob again.Written August 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Corrie B11 contributionsThis was by far my best chartered fishing trip . Roy is an amazing captain with a great sense of humour. We are looking a booking again in April. We had maxed out our catch for both days in a matter of 4 hours . So if you’re looking for a great fishing experience this is your guy.Written August 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
