We had a fantastic time with the Prince of Whales! We saw several humpbacks which was awesome. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining and that made the excursion that much better! On the way back into Victoria we encountered a bit of rough water, but the staff was fantastic! Captain Francois and first mate Sandy kept us all safe and Algebra (yes, that’s her name) and Jessica (on her first day) did a fantastic job of taking care of all the passengers! It was an awesome experience!

What a superb trip! Blessed with calm seas and little wind the conditions were perfect. The boat (Marauder) was spacious and comfortable with covered and open seating areas to cater for everyone. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate was available throughout.

Sightings ... we fairly quickly found a mother orca and her three calves, spent some time with them before moving on to spit a mother (hump back) and her calf.

Courtney was our naturalist on board; she was very informative and ensured we got the best from the adventure. Waterproof trousers and jackets were available for those that required them.

From beginning to end the communication with Springtide has been excellent; we would highly recommend them to anyone looking to take a tour from Victoria.

This is my second Discover Canada Tour and I highly recommend this company. I especially commend Bernie Glemas for a very informative fun and interesting tour. He really took care of us. As a solo traveler I felt safe and at ease. It is a long day but there is a lot to see with plenty of free time to explore on your own.

We recently joined the FAM trip on RV Toum Tiou II from Sai Gon, Viet Nam to Seam reap, Cambodia. It was a real charm and character trip. The ship was nice, colonial designed with three decks: main deck, upper deck and sun deck. Great local cuisines on board, five star services provided by the crews on board. Excellent excursions, etc were bringing us an unforgettable experience of the Mekong delta. We hope to come back with you soon.

Andy Olson does an amazing food tour. His knowledge of the city (and elsewhere!) is remarkable and he is personable and welcoming to boot. The food tastings were great and representative of the food scene in Victoria. We returned to two of the locations the following day and the proprietors couldn't say enough good things about Andy. The sample of beer was served without question when we mentioned Andy's name - no need to present his card! Thoroughly recommend this tour and would give it 6 stars if I could.

This is well worth the money. A trip to Vancouver Island to see Victoria. Then to the Butchart Gardens which are peaceful and well manicured.

Julie was an excellent guide. We hit quite a few places to eat and drink and got a little tour out of passing by the government buildings and the Empress Hotel. All told, it was a fun and food filled experience.

This was an awesome tour and and I felt very save even so we had a bit of wind and waves.
The crew, and especialy Mika, told us everything about the animals we might see e.g., food choices of the different orcas and where we might see them and why. We also got cool fub facts about the different islands where we searched for animals ( in the end we saw sea lions, seals, dolphins, a huge group of orcas and in the port i spotted some see otters in the end).
I can only recommend this tour/team, it was awesome!
    Best wishes fro Germany, Katharina
