What travellers are saying
- Mike GSouth Daytona, FL4 contributionsWe rented bikes about 500 steps off the boat and had them all day. The bikes worked as they should and were very comfortable. We were able to see the entire city at our own pace and with ease. They even provided us a map and a directed tour path! They provide locks and helmets so you have everything you need! Very nice people and company!Written September 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Stephen B4 contributionsWe rented a trunk-mount bike rack with 2 frame adapters to be able to put full-suspension bikes on it. The rack was attached to the vehicle for us and when we ended up needing the rack longer than anticipated, the staff were very accommodating. Very helpful and service-oriented!Written June 5, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- April K3 contributionsOur guide Joanna was amazing. She was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We learned a lot about the city and the wildlife and we had loads of fun.Written September 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - crazydudechiefAberdeen, UK106 contributionsWe had a great morning out on the open water with Frederico as our guide and it was our first time kayaking. We felt very safe and loved it. Great knowledge of the environment and just a lovely way to spend a morning and see Victoria from another angle!
Lee was very accommodating due to other tours that we had booked trying to work it in to our plans which was just fantastic!
Thanks so much would definitely recommend doing this.Written September 17, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Would definitely recommend diving with them!Written September 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jane SCourtenay, Canada19 contributionsWe thought we might like to try ebikes on our little trip in Victoria, and picked Coastal Cycles off the web. We talked with Joel and he set us up!! We just had an amazing half day, loved every minute. The guys were super helpful with routes, bike instruction, even mentioned that they would be there late if we were out past closing time. (We were!). We did 50km on the Galloping Goose trail, an easy ride on these bikes.
This was just an awesome day! We are seniors and loved the ebike experience :)Written April 5, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We couldn't ask for a better facilty with the best staff. They are very accommodating and provided us with all the equipment and staff (dedicated to us alone) we required. They were very flexible with our schedule.
The staff are all very knowledgeable of the waterway and the other boating activity that happenns there.
This was our 4th time training at the facility and we will be back!.Written February 18, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I've often used Calgary's similar Good Life Community Bicycle Shop.
Recyclistas is located at the intersection of the beginner-friendly picturesque Galloping Goose and Lochside regional trails, at the "Switch Bridge" over Douglas Street. That's just west of the Uptown Shopping Centre. I walked 1/3 mile along the Galloping Goose from the Red Lion Inn, one of several stays since my July 2011 review.
A non-cyclist rented an adult trike with a basket. For $15 (+ $4 for a helmet and lock) I got a 24-hour rental of a theft-discouraging 21-speed 20-year old BRC mountain bike with worn yellow paint, numerous Recyclistas stickers, plastic fenders, a carrier and a bell. The BRC was light and very well tuned, with many robust near-new parts.
The overall ride quality felt similar to my $28 24-hour rental last year of a theft-encouraging near-new hybrid bike from CycleBC.ca near the Fairmont Empress Hotel. Besides location, the main difference was push-button shifters on the hybrid vs. thumb shifters on the BRC.
Recyclistas is cash-only, and is open daily from 10am-6pm. They require ID or $100 as a safety deposit.Written November 24, 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Afterwards, we got into the lake and had a blast!Written June 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
