A great two hour kayak with guide Austin - we’re fairly experienced kayakers but Victoria Harbour is REALLY busy so don’t try this alone! Great to have a friendly well informed guide - saw otters, seals, seabirds, kelp crab - not to mention float planes all over the place, boats, oh and a hovercraft..well worth it.

I had a wonderful three hours of coaching with Lee in preparation for an upcoming wilderness kayaking trip. It was exactly what I needed to improve my strokes with the goal of avoiding blisters and fatigue, and to acquire the skills needed for exit and entry on a variety of docks and beaches. This intensive prep has given me confidence t know I can handle 5 days on the water. Thanks so much Lee!

Absolutely loved this tour with Matteo (sp). He was friendly, knowledgeable and took great care of us as we were newbies at Kayaking. The Kayak trip to Seal Island and back was easy to moderate and I would say anyone of almost any age and ability could do it. My husband and I were in a tandem Kayak which was nice as each of us could pause and enjoy while the other paddled. Lots to see and lots of stops along the way to take pictures and enjoy the scenery. We also learned alot about the history of the Victoria Harbour and the Indigenous people that inhabitanted the area long before Colonialization.
Well done Victoria Kayak we will be back!!

I recently had an outstanding experience paddleboarding from Willows Beach to the Chatham / Discovery islands with @mertalesoceanjourneys and @southislandsup. We stopped in a protected cove where the harbour seals and their pups played. From our boards, we slipped into the water to explore the beautiful marine life. Gina, a professional marine biologist from @mertalesoceanjourneys, knew everything there was about life under the water. She pointed out the rich and diverse marine life from giant purple sea stars, orange sea cucumbers, kelp crabs, and various anemones. Her depth of knowledge was unbelievable as she explained the secret life of kelp, anemone characteristics, sea star feeding habits, and countless other facts. If you’re looking for a trip of a lifetime, I highly recommend a tour with @mertalesoceanjourneys and @southislandsup.

The 2-day surf course at Tofino was a blast ! My goal was to get more competent in the surf, mainly to become a safer west coast paddler. What puts Yves and Patti at the top of kayak instruction is their teaching methods - they develop your skills, step-by-step, at a pace that fits with your needs. You can expect personalized and timely feedback when you are working on new skills. And, you will be challenged as much as you want. This was about my 5th course with Go Kayak. I've learned so much from them. After the course was completed they emailed all participants with a YouTube video taken on our course and a summary of the skills we learned. Check out the Go Kayak YouTube channel for highlights of our May 2022 surf course !

Had an informative kayak lesson with Aaron thru MEC Paddlefest. He really knew his techniques and was able to break them down. He was very safe and patient with an inexperienced paddler in our group! Definitely going to go with him on a more challenging outing next chance we get because I felt like he'll take good care of us!

This charter rocks!! We not only had an amazing two days fishing with non stop action but Steve and Mike also took us out whale watching and we saw seals and sea lions. It was a national geographic moment when two huge sea lions were fighting not 20 feet from our boat! They also set crab traps for us which we checked each morning and every time we came in at the end of the day. Steve and Mike sure know their stuff. They are extremely professional but know how to have fun. The boat is brand new, clean and very roomy. Steve and Mike know where to take you for the best fishing as well as where to take you to see the sea life. I highly recommend First class fishing charters and adventures...the name says it all! We are so looking forward to going every year from now on!!

I was also on this wonderful trip with Mully and Andy. They are very experienced competent guides. I felt well taken care of at all times. They are super organized and very efficient. The site we camped at was absolutely beautiful! Even got to go for a quick swim before a glass of wine and dinner. Very nice to be with friends and not worry about a thing. Breakfast bagel was to die for. Thank you Mully and Andy you were excellent.

My husband and I had a wonderful time kayaking for 3 hours. The company was reliable and the staff were friendly. Their website states that, “To keep everyone safe we have strict health protocols in place. “ This is not entirely true. The gentleman who showed up to help us into our kayak was not wearing a mask, even though my husband and I were. While kayaking may be a socially distanced activity, getting assistance with getting in and setting up is not. To have somebody breath in your face for several minutes while adjusting your foot rests is unnerving, especially during a pandemic where variants are the dominant strain. In spite of my muttering the comment to him that, “This would be safer with a mask on”, he retuned unmasked with an unmasked assistant to help us out of the kayak. What could have been a perfect afternoon left us feeling unsafe.
