Friendly folks at the passivhaus (got lessons and rentals there too) and a beautiful day — mostly went around Lost Lake because we are beginners but lessons made it easy and fun.

Awesome trail along the Cheakamus River. We enjoyed the trail as we admired with pristine wilderness. The trail follows the river and but has some elevation gain and in November there was a lot of very icy and steep ascents/descents. Bring crampons if you've got. Lots of great areas to rest an enjoy the stunning scenery. The trail crossed the river at the suspension bridge and then returns to the trailhead but before you cross the trail continues and connects to a network of trails. Enjoy the hiking!!!

This hike is super intense, and if you have short legs definitely bring poles. Many very large steps, and scrambling required. Last km is freaky af don't look down. But the way down is not as scary as you might imagine as you are going up. View at the top is stunning, and seeing the glacier was pretty cool. Don't even look instead the outhouse at the top. Use the woods.

Easy access and parking, killer views in several directions, good playground and small water park, and just a great place to hang out in lawn chairs while the kids play. Or stroll down to the creek/river for more views.
