Accidentally ended up at Joffre Lake, didn't expect the snow to be so thick. Walking on the icy lake surface for the first time, I couldn't help but worry about it cracking beneath me. The weather was nice, and we could even see distant blue glaciers. Looking forward to hiking here after the snow melts.

The wide, pedestrian-only streets and well placed parking and terrific shopping and dining options are terrific. Whistler may be our new favorite Rocky Mountain resort town.

Found this park by accident but so enjoyed the stop there. Summer weather in October so warm enough to go swimming. No crowds. New facilities. Floating dock to swim to. Pet friendly, There's an off lease area and the pups were having a blast. Be alert for bears; we saw one there by the bike path chomping away on the grass. People just stood still watching him. Then he lumbered across the road by the car park and headed off in search of more food. Worth a visit if you want a drive-about.

A great place to spend a sunny day in Whistler. Cycle down there from Whistler village, take your bathers and a picnic, rent a kayak or paddle board and just relax in the sunshine. There is a cafe (coffee, cold drinks and snacks), rest rooms and changing cubicle. Perfect!

This lake is colder than Lost Lake and more crowded. There is a dog park side that allows pups access to a separate dock and beach. Our puppy managed to eat the butt end of a joint and became quite sick (although she recovered). Not impressed that people leave their refuse behind!

We lucked out when the car hire company in Squamish could only offer us a pick up truck, as we would never have seen this beautiful place otherwise!
There had been heavy rain the previous night and the waterfall was roaring.
The Lake itself was idyllic and the long grasses were filled with chipmunks!
    Very spiritual place.

Easy access and parking, killer views in several directions, good playground and small water park, and just a great place to hang out in lawn chairs while the kids play. Or stroll down to the creek/river for more views.

I was in Whistler with my grandson and heard there was a skatepark close by. Once we found it I realised why it was a popular place. It was wonderful and it was huge.

It has a few different areas for mountain bikes, for skateboarding and areas for beginners.

It sits close to a river and even has picnic tables.
Beautiful place close to parking lot 4.

This is a rather small park, but you still have a canoe, stand up paddle, kayak etc rental store which is great. There is also onsite parking.

That track is quite a set up! We were there for a big contest where they were filming for commercials too. It was fun to be able to sit in the outside seating over restaurant/bar and just watch the action!

a great place to bring thte children and out of the way of the shops, restaurants and hotels. this is an amazing are and the village is very small and cozy much smaller than aspen or vail, almost more like a Banff with a mountainous swill village feel.
