- jaimeDotombori, Japan5 contributionsThe best ski resort in the world, with excellent service and park services. This year great fresh snow and ski conditions. The staff is super nice, friendly and professional; always taking care of skiers. Great restaurants and bars making the resort, the best selection for a winter vacation.Written December 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lang E9 contributionsMy wife and I took a day trip to the Callaghan Valley from Vancouver. We purchased day passes from the user friendly website. On Monday we left at 8am and arrived around 945am. Drive was easy, traffic was light. Woman running the rental shop was very good. Pleasantly surprised to learn that as grandparents we got the Monday parents discount. ($17 off rentals). Glorious sun filled day. Perfect conditions. Spectacular scenery. All sorts of terrain to choose from. Not crowded at all as we shared to trails with a only few families. We skied for about 4 hours and ate our packed lunch brought from home about half way thru. Returned our rented skis and had an easy sunny drive home. A great day in the snow. Wonderful facility practically in our backyard.Written March 16, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Claire FNewcastle upon Tyne, UK14 contributionsHitting the trailhead yesterday was amazing, once you hit the 3km marker you will start encountering isolated patches of snow. This becomes a snow trail from around 4km. Snow is densely packed all the way up to the meadows, around 5/6kms from the tusk itself. However once here, without snow shoes the snow becomes almost impossible. With the warm weather we started sinking, at points up to our waist. If you are planning to head here as we, snowshoes are defo recommended if you plan on getting anywhere near the finishing point. Be safe hikers!Written May 3, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- timwoodburnVancouver, Canada13 contributionsWhat a great first experience XC skate skiing! Our instructor Bill took the time to ground us in the fundimantals in the short period of time we had together. He was professional, positive and productive with us. We didn't rock our first lap without him but we are well on our way. Our only advice to the facility is to provide a cash machine or another way to tip the instructors since we don't carry cash. Bill helped make our day in the Callaghan.Written December 31, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
