Great city with friendly people and a lot to see and do. Suggest using the water taxis to get around. Stanley Park is awesome. Take the carriage tour. Take a seaplane ride over to Vancouver Island and visit Butchart Gardens. You will need more than two days to do it right. We took four and really had a great time. Also a good port for taking Alaska cruises.

This was great day. our driver/ guide Voytek was great. He was very flexible and knowledgeable. My husband and I enjoyed the whole day of luxury to Whistler. Voytek called me back on the day I made reservations and communicated and answered our questions. He also recommended that we do the Peak to Peak Gondola which was very appreciated. we also had great conversations with him. we took fabulous pictures. Saw Shannon Falls and Brandywine Falls on the way. A great day. definitely recommend.

Booked a car through Turo 10 days approximately $500
Lucky we had a AWD with winter tyres
Got stuck in Rogers pass ( winter storm) on the way to Golden
The ponderosa hotel in golden is cheap but horrible breakfast.
Sun peaks is still stunning in winter and summer for biking
    So 1500km in 10 days
    Hotel $100 a night
    Petrol $ 20 a day
Food? We stocked up at breakfast and took takeout
    Worst area was Richmond.
It’s unkept and dirty, due to ? Maybe the cultural aspects or lack of concern or courtesy for Canada 🍁?
If you land in Vancouver, get the free shuttle to Days inn
Walk to the thrift shop and pick up some cheap ski gear
Don’t eat in this area, walk or hire a scooter to the Real Canadian Store for most of your meals

This tour for 2 people was advertised for less than $250, but I was charged $562 instead. I didn't read the voucher closely when it arrived, so the credit card statement was a real shock!

Erick was friendly and accommodating - but he acted about as much like a "professional guide" as the person driving the bus up to Capilano Suspension Bridge. He picked us up at our downtown Vancouver hotel, and for the first twenty minutes or so, he was full of information about everything we passed. Then we stopped at Shannon Falls. My boyfriend wanted to see it even though the road was covered in snow, so Erick pointed the way and had my boyfriend break a path. After that, Erick didn't say much until we got to Whistler. At that point, he dropped us off, told us where to meet him when we were done, and that was it. He offered no recommendations on places to shop or things to do, or even things to avoid. Later, on the way back, he was pretty quiet - no stories, information, or other "guide" activity. He didn't even offer us bottles of water (though the voucher said they were included).

Essentially, Erick was a very friendly and charming taxi driver. I was disappointed and annoyed at the time to think that I'd wasted over $200. Now, seeing my credit card statement, I am beside myself to think that I spent $562 for a few hours' driving.
