Smooth and doesn't seem as high as you read - Just like a normal gondola, nice to have ridden it, given the amazing engineering! If concerned, don't be like I was, sit relax and you're there!

Brandywine Falls are just a 15-minute drive south from Whistler.

The carpark was big and it had plenty of space when we visited. The falls themselves are roughly a 15-minute easy walk from the carpark.

Sadly, when we visited the weather was very wet. However, this didn't stop us from having a look, and to be honest, sometimes things look better in bad weather than they do in glorious weather!

Less than 10 minutes drive from Whistler Village, it’s extremely convenient. You can enjoy the lovely trail and beach. It is one of the four lakes in Whistler. Remember, the main road to the lake is closed. Cars cannot enter. You need to walk or take a bike. This journey was still memorable. It is suitable to family with young kids too. There are free shuttle buses to Lost Lake from main village. In summer, we luckily came across the great migration of precious toad of British Columbia. Nice experience.

We're currently enjoying two weeks at Whistler / Blackcomb. We arrived last week amidst rumours that there was minimal snow. We were really nervous as to what we'd find. To our surprise the skiable terrain on our arrival was vast and fabulous, albeit a bit icy in some places. Then after 24 hours of snow fall last Thursday the conditions became even more enjoyable.

Not only has Whistler delivered fresh snow, but also beautiful blue skies, minimal wind and no rain for 8 days straight.

Some of the chair lift lines can be long (10 - 15 minutes) but once on the slopes the crowds disperse quickly and the ski runs are so nice and long. Our group is made up of intermediate and advance skiers. We have been able to ski together most of the time, but just take different lines down.

The mountain restaurants are enormous and offer a variety of food to suit all dietary needs. We have always been able to find a table, even at peak times. Price's aren't too bad ie a bowl of chips is about $7, a bowl of soup and bread about $9, a vegan pie about $12 (Canadian).

One afternoon we booked in to do the bobsled. If it's in your budget it's definitely worth considering. There are only a limited number of sessions open per day. These are largely run by training athletes and the money earned goes to maintaining the facility.

Last, but so far my favourite experience, has been the Whistler FREE CIBC mountain tour (there are similar tours on Blackcomb). Groups are divided by ability. I opted to go intermediate level. Our volunteer tour leader, Don took us on a range of runs to suit our group's skill. He explained the local history and geography as we went and told funny stories along the way. He was vigilant, patient, generous with his time and entertaining. If you do nothing else you must do this when in Whistler. The groups run from the top of the Whistler Gondola every day from 11.15 am. Well done Whistler for providing this great service!!!

It was like being in a painting. Absolutely beautiful. The first lake is so accesible that my 2 year old was able to walk with us comfortably.

Amazing day! We booked a 3 run taster pass based on our fitness which was the perfect number for us and a half day bike rental that came with full face helmet, gloves and elbow and knee pads. Everyone was so friendly and helpful with getting on to the gondolas and making sure we knew where we were going. The trails themselves are so well maintained, easily signposted and a huge variety for all abilities. Can't recommend enough! There's plenty of places to grab a drink in between runs and great atmosphere all round. The queue for the gondola goes down really quickly and you get to see other trails as you head up the mountain.

We rode the green trails which are equivalent to an easy blue in the UK but a lot more fun, so would recommend having some experience of mountain/downhill biking, and make sure you know the etiquette of being on the mountain, more for your own safety and that of others using the trails. But you'll see people of all ages and abilities up there so don't be put off!

The easy/better way to get to the train wreck is to turn off Hwy 99 at Cheakamus Lake Rd then go right on Legacy Way and turn right onto Janes Lake Rd to either parking lot. Go to sign for Train wreck follow trail & sign. Go over suspension bridge and your there.

Went with my girlfriend, had a great time, we were both beginners but the staff cater to all abilities.

The chaps on duty when we were there were fun, joined in and made sure we had a nice time.

    Highly recommended.

We did the half-hike (to the lake and back) on a beautiful sunny, cool day. We did the detour to the river (5 mins) and it was definitely worth it! The hike took us about 3.5 hours in total and we're not in the best shape! The views of the lake were stunning and it was great to get to sit by the shore and take in the views at our leisure. Highly recommend!

The wide, pedestrian-only streets and well placed parking and terrific shopping and dining options are terrific. Whistler may be our new favorite Rocky Mountain resort town.

My wife and I took a day trip to the Callaghan Valley from Vancouver. We purchased day passes from the user friendly website. On Monday we left at 8am and arrived around 945am. Drive was easy, traffic was light. Woman running the rental shop was very good. Pleasantly surprised to learn that as grandparents we got the Monday parents discount. ($17 off rentals). Glorious sun filled day. Perfect conditions. Spectacular scenery. All sorts of terrain to choose from. Not crowded at all as we shared to trails with a only few families. We skied for about 4 hours and ate our packed lunch brought from home about half way thru. Returned our rented skis and had an easy sunny drive home. A great day in the snow. Wonderful facility practically in our backyard.

Found this park by accident but so enjoyed the stop there. Summer weather in October so warm enough to go swimming. No crowds. New facilities. Floating dock to swim to. Pet friendly, There's an off lease area and the pups were having a blast. Be alert for bears; we saw one there by the bike path chomping away on the grass. People just stood still watching him. Then he lumbered across the road by the car park and headed off in search of more food. Worth a visit if you want a drive-about.

I decided to get a massage during a trip with friends (as this is something I often have to do for my back) and I have to say this is without a doubt the best massage I have ever had in my life. I initially thought it was a little pricey but I have to say it was 100% worth it. She is the only massage therapist I have ever had who was able to work out my knots without tickling me, while also keeping me very relaxed.

After my massage I enjoyed some time in the outdoor hot tub which was the perfect way to end a short vacation.

They also have a lovely selection of drinks and beauty/spa products for a very affordable price, which were perfect for thoughtful souvenirs and for myself :)

Overall, amazing experience and I cannot wait to go back!
