Today 16 April 2024 myself and friends went to the mint for a tour. Cade the tourist guide did a excellent job explaining how the coins are made, and how the mint works.

Marit was an excellent tour guide. We called ahead, but they were not a lot of people for today’s 2 PM tour. The tour lasted 1 1/4 hours. We were taken through the building, one of the legislative rooms, the legislative assembly room and other spaces. Please give me a like if you would like this review. Please look for my reviews of other Winnipeg attractions, as well as attractions in many cities in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, South America, and Asian countries

I booked a guided tour for a group of 20 people (ages 5-40+). We loved watching the blacksmith make a nail! We were very impressed with the engaging presentations from all the staff. They did an amazing job staying in character while sharing the many stories of the Fort. The hands-on voyageur games were so fun to end the tour with. Some of our teens even wanted to continue the games once we returned home for our visit.

Some of our teenagers were very skeptical about how we would spend 2 hours in the Fort. But once the presentations started, they kept asking questions and were fascinated by what they saw and learned.

The group cost is extremely reasonable and absolutely worthwhile!

Recommend crossing the river into St. Boniface to see this building. The old building is lovely and screens the more modern part. We didn’t try to get entry to the cathedral, but the visit to the well kept grounds was worthwhile

Very Cool!!!! Your says this is the oldest building in Winnipeg. Learned about how the Grey Nuns lives here and ran a medical facility at first in the same building, then built a one room cabin with four beds in a separate location that became the St. Boniface hospital. Worth a stop.

First time at IG Field visiting from Ontario; great seats and awesome atmosphere for the Bombers game which they won! The field is on the University grounds so there are no motels or pubs that are within walking distance; we took a taxi to and from the hotel and it was nuts after the game! The prices for food and drink, most likely like any sports venue, are very high so be prepared to fork out for drinks and snacks..other than those two issues, we had a great time..

THE TRAPPIST MONASTERY PROVINCIAL HERITAGE Park is nestled in a bend of the La Salle River just outside of the town of St. Norbert. The church and monastery were established in 1892 and named Our Lady of the Prairies. About 50 monks lived and worked here, members of the Order of Cistercians of the Strict Observance, also called Trappists. As the city of Winnipeg and its surroundings grew, the order left in the 1970s to seek a quieter location.

What a great way to explore things in our city that one might never get to see. I love when this event is held and go to as many as we can. The opera in the old Bank of Montreal building is outstanding!
    Great way to promote Winnipeg!

Came here with my brother in law who is a history lecturer and wondered if it would be boring. Anything but. It was absolutely fascinating. Young student did a superb guided tour for us and really presented it in such a great way.

Absolutely worth a visit if in Winnipeg and want to learn about local history at all.

The Mill is open again on some days. I haven't been inside in I'm sure thirty years. It's been very well kept up. No longer is there a small footbridge over the water, but a balcony on the opposite side of the mill.
A very beautiful place in a wonderful little park.
I loved spending time in this park as a child and I'm sure I'd spend a great deal of time here if I still lived in the area.
I was delighted to be able to enter the building again yesterday and I hope you get the chance to as well. Very small yet, interesting and special.
