This museum is so cool that I might die soon. I am not usually very amused by museums. I have visited over 309 on my expeditions around the world. This one is by far the worst. The best exhibits you could imagine but the worst smell ever. I had to take more than one shower when I got to my hotel. Bring gas masks if you don’t want to die of smell.

This place is great! I loved the paintings, pottery, textiles and jewelry in particular. There are so many talented artists featured and a wide variety of art styles. I'll definitely stop in again on my next trip to St. John.

Not a great deal to do in St John really but this quirky little Police Museum has some interesting artefacts and stories to review. Very friendly staff and all it asks for is a donation. Worth popping in for sure.

Virtually,a one floor museum with local Jewish lore and Canadian Jewish history and Jewish religious items and the synagogue behind the museum. A testament to Jewish life in St Johns.

This is the kind of spot you just want to browse with your coffee stopping occasionally (or more often if required) to pet the friendly cat. A variety of artists works are displayed, beautiful works and some are quite fun. My favourite are the Pieces of Saint John series by Cameron Bohnstedt. The stunning steeples , lamp and dome of the historic architecture are beautifully captured through some sort of 3 D printing and hand painted. He has also reproduced the Jelly Bean Houses and a streetcar series. Very creative and attention to detail. Like so many of us that have moved away from Saint John, this is a wonderful way to recapture the magic of those historic architectures. Check it out, I’m sure one can find that special gift of art.

We just happened to stop by the museum while we were checking out the town. Some great history about the Saint John fire fighters. The pictures were great as well as the old fire engine. All around a must see if in Saint John!

What a gem! We stumbled upon this display showroom with the glass blowing demonstration just a few steps away down an alleyway - fascinating to watch an actual art piece being made. Items from their store can be shipped to the US - and the exchange rate from Canada vs US was favorable when we were there. Up and coming artist's works were also for sale.
