- Shelley NLakeland, FL2 contributionsWhat a fun time! Great guide - informative, friendly and made the tour fun. Variety of beers to sample, and generous portions. I’m not a big beer drinker, but such a selection, I found a couple I really enjoyed. If you spend time in the area, I encourage a tour, or at least stop in for a beer at the bar.Written September 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - staci S65 contributionsSmall city market. Food section was decent size. Not many vendors to shop. Nice area right off the park and walking distance to city/cruise stop.Written August 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mable MaeBarrie, Canada117 contributionsAwesome to go out on the stern and look for whales during our trip from Saint Johns, NB to Digby, NS. Great vessel and the staff were polite.Written July 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- KaylieMoncton, Canada22 contributionsThis museum is so cool that I might die soon. I am not usually very amused by museums. I have visited over 309 on my expeditions around the world. This one is by far the worst. The best exhibits you could imagine but the worst smell ever. I had to take more than one shower when I got to my hotel. Bring gas masks if you don’t want to die of smell.Written March 29, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jmsmasIllinois351 contributionsWith 45% of the original families' belongings and original floors, this
house is pretty neat. The guided tour was
informative and starts when you arrive. Be sure to ask questions because there are so many items that are super cool.Written September 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They put on great shows there, I've always been satisfied with the performances. Seats are very comfortable, and there is a good view of the stage from most seats. I enjoy sitting on the sides of the balcony, but the edges of the stage do get in the way when trying to watch the show. Dressing rooms are nice, wide variety of teas in the green room. Snacks at the bar are a bit overpriced, which is a little annoying. Overall a great place to watch a show.Written October 16, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- NHjoSaco, ME13,324 contributionsThis Victorian Gothic church is magnificent. I only wished I could have gone inside to see the interior, but as everyone knows, churches are no longer open to the public except on Sundays and special events. (In Europe, most of the well-known cathedrals and churches are open for viewing). Interesting fact: The bell tower and steeple is 210 feet tall and topped by a 6-ft long wood gilt fish weathervane. The fish was an early symbol for Christianity (and not a symbol of fishing in Saint John, which is what most people would probably think).Written June 2, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are so many talented artists featured and a wide variety of art styles. - Timbo3765Pershore, UK657 contributionsNot a great deal to do in St John really but this quirky little Police Museum has some interesting artefacts and stories to review. Very friendly staff and all it asks for is a donation. Worth popping in for sure.Written January 21, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JNYCwriterNew York City, NY7,517 contributionsThe Cathedral is a towering structure in Portland. The Cathedral was build in the 1860s and serves as an example of Gothic Revival. You can develop an appreciation for the sheer size of the building during a walk on the grounds. Note the many windows, which I found to be interesting.Written September 26, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lisa PKingston, NH10 contributionsWe just happened to stop by the museum while we were checking out the town. Some great history about the Saint John fire fighters. The pictures were great as well as the old fire engine. - RobynSussex, Canada3 contributionsOverall it was a great night out .
The entrance way wasn’t shovelled properly and was slippery getting around.
Food was good, I had the chicken, it was a little blan and the potatoes could of been softer or whipped to make them taste better. But it came out warm and was eatable.
The dessert was good, I wished the cake had been warm and then the whip cream and Carmel .
The drinks at the bar were delicious ! Very festive & Tasty and weren’t over priced.
The play was a little long and lacked in the talent department and could of been a little more “Christmasy”. It was cute and funny at times. There was children in it, which I wasn’t expecting. I guess I was thinking it was more of an adult establishment.
The place was clean , the cutlery, tables, glasses , even the bathroom was well stocked and clean.
My waitress was great, she was always tending to us and made sure our drinks were kept full, which was amazing because the bar was lined up all night.
All and all it was a great night out
