Beautiful. Did the Irish Loop. Travelled all around Conception Bay. Stopped in Bay Roberts, Harbour Grace and Carbonear. Enjoyed many wonderful meals too.

Amazing space with a fine craft shop, a gallery and a community clay studio. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff! Lots to choose from!

Such a cute little shop downtown. They always have new items in stock and unique jewellery. There are lots of items made by local artists and local businesses which is nice to see. They always dress up the front windows very nicely as well. Definitely pop in for a look around.

O’Brien’s Music has been run by Dave Rowe, grandson of the founder, and whose mom was raised above the store. And Dave worked in the store as a teenager. Dave is a multi-instrumentalist traditional musician who plays in bluegrass including in the over 50 year old Crooked Stovepipe with his dad Ted Rowe and other original and more recent members. He also plays with thw current High and Lonesome Bluegrass / old tyme country fusion band. Dave bought the store after it had closed because it was his passion.
He continues many of the traditions in the store and employs people with skills and passion. Very different in style from his uncles but has the same passion and love of music and serving customers. O’Briens music gives back to the community and also have a good fb group.
I am a music lover who lives in St. John’s but am not a musician and have seen dave and his parents perform.,
    MTheir inventory looks awesome.

Great place for souvenirs. Carries stuff made locally and supports local historical society. Prices comparable to other stores. If you are going to just one store this should be the one.

Cute place to visit with children who like sweets. They have a great selection of unique chocolate bars and candies. Our son was in heaven.
They even carry the full line of Mr. Beast bars!

A fun shop for finding local souvenirs of your trip to Newfoundland. I found everything that I wanted in one convenient store. The shop assistants were very helpful and had some good suggestions.

I went into almost every craft store in St. John's (or that's what my husband said!) and this was my favorite for handmade knitted crafts. I purchased a pair of the warmest knit mittens ever, with a classic pattern - worth every penny (45 CAD)!

Just take a look inside this small store, and you will find the best handiwork in knitwear and accessories. I can't wait to wear my mittens when winter returns to Chicago in a few months! :)

After you've walked up and down the hills of St. John's, seen the other sights, and twacked your way through downtown, by all means, stop in at Irene's. It's wall to wall delights. I need to make a correction as to when I went. It was 2015, not 2020, but the drop down menu wouldn't allow me to put the date in there. Obviously, though, my visits to Irene's so impressed me that five years later, I still want to talk about it.

This Jewellery Store has gorgeous jewelry, lots designed and made locally.
I purchased a capelin band ring in sterling silver designed and made right in the shop.
The service was above and beyond what I would expect!

Loved walking along Posie Row and browsing and buying in the shops. Love that there are lots of locally made crafts there. So many items to choose from; I bought earrings and candles. Excellent area.

Spend a little time here and don't leave empty handed as all the takings are distributed amongst needy individuals / communities. Perhaps flyers could be handed to/ or left for folk arriving out of baggage reclaim for their information when returning to the airport thereby raising awareness of this super enterprise. A very deserving and worthwhile enterprise.

We went into this gift shop to look for some ugly sticks. Came out with 2 - the owner helped us pick out the best and provided us with information on the area.
