Originally booked tour for a Monday but weather was looking horrible. An agent for the company called two days before and kindly asked me to change day which worked out well. So glad and grateful she called to reschedule instead of just canceling altogether.
Despite the very choppy weather we managed to go out for the tour.
Glen - one of the boat’s crew was amazing! Keeping everyone’s spirits high and taking the time to spend time with everyone, whether it was providing information or checking in on you during the boat ride or pointing out the wildlife or maybe all 3, he made the tour amazing. Genuinely great hospitality from Glen and all the crew!
Also note on the ticket it says arrive an hour earlier, you check in and pick up your physical ticket then asked to come back 15 mins before departure time. Be prepared to stay nearby the pier.

We took this tour with Steve Gosse and he was an excellent tour guide and safe driver. He was constantly telling us stories about all the attractions and he had a great sense of humour! Truly a Newfoundlander! The tour was excellent and the walks were easy! We had great weather!

The tour was excellent. The food was great and the guide was very knowledgeable about both the food and about St. John’s well worth it.

George was amazing! To understand what the tour is like, imagine spending the day with an old friend who knows the town like the back of his hand. George is not Newfoundland-born, but his love for the people, culture and history of "The Rock" is obvious. You couldn't ask for a friendlier and more knowledgeable person to spend time with in St. John's. Thanks for a great experience!

We were picked up from in front the tour company’s office
Only 2 couples in the tour
Very comfortable van the guide was good very informative had enough time at Cape spear though we couldn’t go. Lose to the light house
And enough time and amazing views from signal hill
Passed by a fishing village called Petty harbour
    Had 10 min there
Drove through Quisidi village though we will have some time to walk around
That was very disappointing otherwise the tour was good

We arrived in St. John Canada on a cruise. There weren't any tours that our cruise was offering that sparked our interest. So we took a chance and booked this tour directly through TripAdvisor. We are very glad that we did. It was nice to get away from the crowds of people on our ship. This was a late morning early afternoon tour, which we appreciated because we were able to sleep in and not feel rushed. The pick-up point was right outside of the gate where our ship was docked. Our guide, Deneen, was a lovely woman with such a positive vibe. As we drove to our destination, she gave us highlights of the surrounding area. We made a few stops along the way at scenic spots to take some pictures. The picnic lunch was delicious and filling. Start to finish, we enjoyed it all. From the refreshing homemade drink concoction that was so good to the delicious blueberrie lemon cupcake we had for dessert. Along with a small tasty olive cucumber salad homemade mac and chesse and a delicious wrap made with fresh pork from the family owned farm. I would totally recommend this tour for anyone looking for something that was different from the same old offerings you usually find. As I mentioned before, it was also a large plus to not have crowds of people to deal with while enjoying ourselves during the tour.

Really helpful having the pedal assist for the hills around the shop. And in general in St. John's.
Was surprised by the reasonable price, and the owner/operator was kind enough to be flexible with me just stopping in to rent last minute (early season so wasn't stressing them out by any means). They fit me on the right sized bike which was great.
I got a LONG way on the bike, including heading up Battery Hill which isn't too accommodating to cars. So had some great trail riding, but also managed to go across the town to shop etc. The rental comes with a lock so ease of visiting spots with the bike was good.
As someone who bikes daily in my hometown and always trys to find a bike where ever I go, this was an easy choice and I would make it again if I went back to St. John's.
A note though - the town itself is not set up for cycling in the downtown core. So bike with confidence, but new riders maybe should be making good choices with bikes that can go this fast if the town gets busy during tourist season. I'm used to co-living with cars and traffic, so easy peasy and lemon squeezy, especially in low tourist season.

This tour comprised three distinctive pubs in downtown St. John’s. Walks between them were easy for this 80-year-old to handle. So were the varieties of ales, IPAs, lager, sour & stout we explored. Very easy. Our guide, Melissa, was well-prepared to explain the differences in their production. She also described the importance of beer in the heritage of Newfoundland, embellishing the history with fascinating and often amusing local stories. The tour was informative and thoroughly enjoyable. I highly recommend it.

The whole experience was very good. Unfortunately I didn't have internet access during the investigation so the AR wasn't available, but not necessary. There were some minor issues, one question at the arena is out of date as that team no longer plays here, as well the coffee shop has been removed from another question.

Enjoyed my experience and would recommend.

This tour was the best option for me to see St. John and know more about the history of St. John. Since I am fond of history, this walking tour was an ideal tour for me. The tour guide enlightened us about the history and culture of St. John.

Great boat tour of the Harbour. Captain Barry provided interesting history along the way, but our best treat was seeing so many humpback whales in the Atlantic! It was the highlight of my trip to St. John's!

Voyage Jules Verne. Having booked this tour there was no communication from the office until we contacted them asking for the itinerary. On the trip: The guide had no Basque country knowledge only that of southern Spain, where he lived and which we heard about every day. He read out notes about the Basque country off the net all the time which we could have done. The group with an average age of probably 65-70 had obviously travelled a lot over the years especially to Madrid and southern Spain. This obviously never occured to him. His organisational skills were none existent and his English was terrible (he was Swedish so we had a two-way problem). The hotels were good but the basic tour problem was that apart from The Guggenheim in Bilbao the towns had very little to offer the visitor. The amount of "relaxing time with a coffee" meant that most of each day was spent wandering around rather boring towns and villages trying to find something of interest. This was our first VLV trip and it will definitely be the last. Read some of the comments from other VJV travellers and you'll get the idea. Maybe the ground operator was to blame? There are much better tour operators to travel with so DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY on VJV.
