Awesome tour. Our guide, Larry, was the perfect blend of humour and information. He went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed the tour.

I recently booked George’s tour of St. John’s Newfoundland, and it was an unforgettable experience! His knowledge, passion, and storytelling truly had a positive impact on my experience and definitely give me a different kind of respect for the history and what the city has to offer. I had the luxury of having a private tour due to fewer tourists this time of year, which allowed me to experience St. John’s in a truly unique and extraordinary way. We visited iconic places like Cape Spear, Signal Hill, Petty Harbour, Quidi Vidi, and Portugal Cove. My favourite of them all was Petty Harbour by far. After my tour with George, I went back to Petty Harbour another four times before the end of my trip because I couldn’t get enough of how beautiful the coastal fishing village is. George took his time to answer all my questions and even revealed some hidden gems that I wouldn’t have discovered on my own. He’s one of the only guides if not the only one who runs year-round, which speaks volumes about his dedication and commitment, no matter the season. I referred to him as “the guy out here” because of his great passion for the city and how knowledgeable he is about it. I will definitely be recommending George’s Tours to anyone I know who plans on visiting St. John’s looking to tour the city as well. Keep up the great work, George.

    Till next time.

We were on a cruise with my husband's brother/wife and had a stop in St Johns. We decided to do this tour to get a sense of the city and its food. We had an absolutely beautiful day for the tour - which is a major bonus. Our guide was TERRIFIC (but I can't remember her name - ugh). We stopped at several local places for some interesting and great food - including moose burgers, ice cream, fish and chips, etc. Each place we stopped was as interesting as the food. She also provided us with some great history of St Johns. We walked about 1.5 mils but remember it's a hilly city so be forewarned. We certainly had plenty to eat - but pace yourself - even with small portions. Enjoy!

It was a great experience. Jeff was just a wealth of knowledge. Very articulate and full of information. He is like “google”. Very thoughtful of his guests’ needs. It is a great tour since it is personal and small group. No stress and just plain fun. It is like having your own personal tour. Kudos to Jelly Bean Tours.

This is an area of Canada I
have always wanted to visit. The city is attractive with a number of sights to see and some architecture to admire. However, make it a point to get outside the downtown area. The countryside is very beautiful.
We didn't get a chance to see the Bay of Fundy, but from what we hear, it is exciting. St John's is the best port of entry to get there. The drive is incredible and it is on the bucket list!

This tour comprised three distinctive pubs in downtown St. John’s. Walks between them were easy for this 80-year-old to handle. So were the varieties of ales, IPAs, lager, sour & stout we explored. Very easy. Our guide, Melissa, was well-prepared to explain the differences in their production. She also described the importance of beer in the heritage of Newfoundland, embellishing the history with fascinating and often amusing local stories. The tour was informative and thoroughly enjoyable. I highly recommend it.
