This place has the most amazing views. From the view looking into St John’s our out to the Atlantic, you can’t beat the views. Definitely make a stop up there.

We got a cab to Cape Spear. Driver was from Libya and is a graduate student here in food packaging. He agreed to take us out and back for a set price. We went out to Cape Spear and walked to the two light houses, the oldest from 1836. There was not road out here until 1941 when this point was an important defensive position for WWII. Lots of historical information at the site and well worth your visit.

We visited the St. John's Rooms museum on Monday while we was docked for our port day. It was conveniently about a 15 minute walk from the cruise ship dock.

Upon entering the Visitors center we were quickly greeted by a friendly staff member. They were able to quickly provide us with alot of useful information. They pointed out that some parts of the museum were free, and there was like 4 rooms that required a ticket. We decided to not get a ticket because we were on a limited time schedule.

Saw this & most of downtown with a local on her free weekend walking tour. Really appreciated her insight into the background of Terry Fox & why it's so important to Canadians

If you are not steady on your feet or afraid of narrow steep stairs,
just enjoy the gift shop in the Tower. The views from ground level are pretty beautiful.

This Church is a piece of history and very well preserved with some amazing stained glass windows. The only problem was that you could not go inside which was to bad.

Even a visit during the day is a worthwhile experience for a bite to eat, a drink and taking in the art and design of this small part of the city. Get there early in the day and you may see the 'clean up" from the party the night before.

On my Newfie expedition, I ventured into the harbor-front community of Quidi Vidi to sip craft beer at its brewery. However there is more to this quaint burg than the waterholes, with its clapboard houses that are painted in vivid reds, blues and greens. It's retail life is populated by a great craft shop, food trucks, pop-up outposts purveying anything and the popular Quidi Vidi Brewery. It's a frolicking place and home to the popular 'Iceberg' beer. Quidi Vidi exemplifies good old Newfie culture and friendliness and is a great place to walk around and hangout.

Another stop on our free walking tour, it's a bit of a hike from the cruise port, but glad we got to see this historic neighborhood & thrilled that our guide, Amber's able to give us a lot of history & information about it

Although it was not open for tours, we did go in before the Sunday service. The minister and a lady who worked there showed us around, including the "ghost" photo in the museum, pointed out the different parts of the architecture, and the stained glass the survived the great fire! They were, like most Newfoundlanders, very friendly!

This is a charming little village with very narrow streets. Drive slowly a be careful. Better yet, find a place to park if you can (very limited). and walk around. Be sure to take a tour of the Quidi Vidi Brewery and try their Iceberg beer.

This is not only a good building to visit and get some history of St. John's, but the residential area is all part of the fascinating history of the City.

We stopped in here on our tour around of St. John's. It is next to the brewery and a quaint little spot that sells local products and crafts. The view and area are also worth the visit, it is so pretty here.

This is an impressive War Memorial that is very well maintained. Great place to wander and reflect on the various wars that have occurred and be grateful for those who sacrificed all for others. There are other memorials to check out in the City as well that are a little smaller.
