- Ps3valleySan Francisco, CA20 contributionsWhat a great city. Loved the people. So kind and friendly. Top three experiences:
1) Quidi Vidi - historical little neighborhood. Great food, art and walked around the lake.
2) Signal hill. Great views.
3) great eats and bars with music (especially The Ship for music and atmosphere )Written August 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Highly recommended.Written August 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Because of that, it's a really memorable experience.
It's worth knowing that during the screech-in, bar service stops (or at least has the occasions I have been there) and the expectation is to let the Skipper do his thing and not make too much noise or distract from it. This isn't a negative in my opinion, but it seems like people are sometimes surprised by it.
Outside of the screech ins, it's a small-ish, comfortable pub, with good service and a good selection. Not much else to ask for.Written October 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Susan P3 contributionsAs an older couple, we wanted to enjoy the vistas without a lot of physical exertion. The Iceberg Quest was an excellent option. The seating on the boat was comfortable, the staff were attentive to our needs. They made it clear that the season for viewing birds and marine mammals was past. Nevertheless, the ride out to Cape Spear and back was delightful. Our schedule that day was tight, so the boat crew called a taxi to the harbor to expedite our departure at the tour's end. The boat is in fine condition, very clean; the crew are enthusiastic and thoughtful. We had a wonderful time.Written October 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- rustyhookPeterborough, Ontario, Canada62 contributionsBooked tour for first trip on a weekday and were the only two people - still proceeded with just the two of us with 3 staff - an exclusive trip! Only drawback of that is we were done faster than expected and it was over too fast LOL
Old bus takes you most of way and there is a good uphill walk from there. Some boardwalk aspects and some trail - the team was patient with these two old folks (58&60) to stop a couple of times along the way for quick minute to catch breath. And chatting all along the way with friendly guides.
Beautiful view from top and throughout the course.
Windy day and couple of runs required doing tandem for enough weight due to wind but most was solo. Braking system is leather glove on hand for resistance - something be aware of for younger children that need to be able to control speed at end for safe landing.
We have done multiple zip lines both in Canada and Caribbean. We both agreed that we enjoyed this one the best so far. Would happily go again tomorrow
Offer suggestion that would have been nice to have somewhere to get a photo along the way - almost hate to suggest the classic tourist trap of photo of doing activity that paid for - but wish had a shot from top with Petty Harbour in background etc. Beautiful spot.Written September 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
