What a great place to visit and shop! Has such a great vibe to it. We were met by Rodney Tate (an incredible photographer) who gave us a tour of the building and commentary on his photos as well as the other art pieces. He is extremely talented photographer! He even gave us a free print that had a so called flaw (we couldn’t see it). It was beautiful. We ended up buying a print of a bald eagle- framed with 35 year old fence board. If we ever go back to Nova Scotia, we will definitely go back there again!

As my title says, we explored this with multiple young children (5, 4 & 20 months). It was an easy hike/walk in the woods, well groomed down to the beach area, which featured a nice little water fall and plenty of places for kids to "search for treasures."

Cute and easy trail to do with 10 years old children. Saw a lot of birds, and a local artist left painted rocks hidden on the trail. Kids loved to search for them. Great idea !!

We loved learning the history of this area from the perspective of the families who have lived here. My favorite Is the poster from the Ice Sickles hockey team. Definitely worth a stop. The docent was pleasant and very helpful!

This was my first overnight stop after getting off thedaytime ferry crossing from NL.The check in was effortless and friendly. Room was clean. Access to my own washroom and kitchen facilities. The general location was situated in a good walking, eating and convenience area. Would return

We visited Antigonish Farmers' Market on a Saturday just before we left the town. The place was busy and had a very friendly atmosphere; the locals all seemed to know each other and made visitors welcome. There was a wide range of locally-produced food and other items for sale, all of which appeared to be of very good quality. For anglers there was even a guy tying salmon and trout flies for sale while you watched. We bought bread, jam, cake, pastries and cider, all of which were delicious, and had we been staying in the area longer we would have stocked up on fruit and vegetables as well.
There was plenty of parking space at the market.

Built by Scottish immigrants coming to Canada after Culloden. The ceiling paintings, currently being restored, are by Canada's leading Church artist. Well worth seeing.

The weather reverted back to sunny summer skies after yesterday's "tropical storm".
Came by early afternoon and did the mini golf thing to stretch our legs. And 2 regular loaded hot dogs (for $3.75) x3 orders.
Ice cream and shakes were great.

Sorry, folks, no wifi here to share with the customers looking to catchup on there FB, etc.

No in person Canada Day celebrations so we decided to take a day trip to Cape George. Luckily the Tuna Interpretive Center just opened for the season. Great film about the Tuna industry. The fishing village was busy as the lobster fishing season has been extended until July 4th. A beautiful area to take a day trip. We grabbed an ice cream at the Fish & Ships canteen. We then went to the Cape George lighthouse to see if we could spot any whales swimming by. No luck spotting whales but we did see a bald eagle flying by. We strongly recommend this very scenic day trip around the Cape.

Offers service Sunday's at 10:30am with socializing afterwards in the church hall. Features beautiful stained glass, and a mural painted by a local artist.

Great location in the middle of town in Antigonish. Located right across the street from ST FX near The Wheel Pizza and Pasta restaurant. Good for a walk in the trees and close to the creek.

The Columbus Field was purchased by the local Knights of Columbus, Antigonish, Council 1105, back in the late 1940's for family and community to enjoy for many years and events. There is a monument near the fence line area 121 Main Street. Notice being enjoyed by many families on a summer day.

Somehow I never did complete this review - was nice to be able to see how the hatchery and industry works overall.

WE attended one of the summer plays and it was very professional. The theater is small and makes you feel a part of the play. The seats are comfortable and acoustics are great along with your site view. WE opted for the more expensive seats and they were worth the cost.
