Shop had just opened but we were able to go in to visit the goats, cow and two horses - all who were very curious about us! Purchased several products and so far they have been amazing!
We loved holding the baby goats, visiting the cows and rabbits, and shopping for goat soap.

So we were pleasantly surprised when we found little gem hidden in Sydney that had so many of them on display and for sale!
As well their artist shop on the first floor provides a wide array of beautiful local art pieces to purchase.

This is the BEST COFFEE, BEST SERVICE, BEST HOMEMADE GOODS, BEST BREAKFAST SANDWICHES, and BEST GIFT SHOP in Ingonish!!
There is high-quality local artwork for sale inside such as jewelry, paintings, candles, prints, and ceramics.

everywhere there was amazing sculptures, glasses, plant pots, ornaments, all colors, shapes and sizes.
Make sure you plan time to watch the glass-blowing demonstration in the adjacent shop.

Small store, but it had the basics we needed; the gift shop has reasonably-priced souvenirs; and the lobster sandwiches were simple, but delicious.
They had a little bit of everything; necessities, supplies and souvenirs!

We also visited the ice cream shop and enjoyed a large hot sundae that had 2 big scoops of ice cream, lashings of hot fudge and toppings.
Gift options for everyone and plenty of items made in Cape Breton/Nova Scotia.

Thanks to Linda for having this beautiful little shop at the base of Cape Breton Highlands Park.

What a wonderful place with amazing "hooked wool" gifts, pictures etc. Had a lovely chat with the owner and chief "hooker", it seems that this is a dying art which would be such a shame.
I loved the idea of older local ladies carrying on the tradition of hooking over the winter months and keeping alive a craft which would otherwise disappear.

If you are staying in the area (or from the area) the fresh eggs go fast and I always stock up on the Sausages!!!! Don't forget to bring your recycled shopping bags!

My husband and I made a spontaneous decision to stop at this shop while driving and hiking on the Cabot Trail.
It's worth a stop even if you aren't shopping.

Bought a lovely pewter Christmas tree ornament and my husband bought me a lovely pewter star fish pendant.
Although small, it has an excellent selection of pewter items from earrings to pendants and other jewellery items.

Great place to buy unique gifts - and you know they are all made in Canada, specifically Atlantic Canada.
A definite must see for those seeking gifts.

Sarah Beck is the maker at this shop full of pottery, paintings, printed accessories and more.
One of a number of small artisan shops on the Cabot trail, well worth a quick pit stop.
