What travellers are saying
- MidnightRose44Saskatoon, Canada11 contributionsBeautiful Spot to walk through. Lots of flowers, greenery, pond with a mini titanic on it. Great spot for a picnic or to walk through on your way to Glitter Bean.Written May 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - williamNolanola310 contributionsone of "have to do's" in halifax. this fortress is not unique by any means. dozens of forts in north america built during this period were built in this exact style. what sets this one apart is it's condition. tip top, spit spot. virtually intact. good military (army) museum and some simple demonstrations complete the show. great place to bring kidsWritten June 1, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - williamNolanola310 contributionsfirst let's state the one disappointment - the ships were closed. i enjoy climbing in and out and through ships. having said that there isn't much else to complain about. the ten or so boats in the main hall will eat up all your time if you're not careful. so pace yourself. the explosion exhibit is outstanding. i knew there was a port catastrophe during WWI. but that 's extent of it. now i know all the facts and they are gut wrenching. the titanic exhibit is small but very effective. there is another exhibit in another building that most people skip but i spent 20 years in the drayage business so i enjoyed that one too. great museumWritten June 1, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - williamNolanola310 contributionsa great way to spend a day. plenty of places to eat or get a snack (specially if you like ice cream). museums are interesting. tourist shops and upscale shopping are plentiful. people watching is superb. maybe a few more benches - or activites would improve things but it's pretty good already.Written June 1, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - williamNolanola310 contributionsthis place is at the end of the boardwalk strip but well worth the walk. the film is more a commercial for canada than a story about past immigration- but watch it anyway. the exibits are self explanitory but try and take a free tour with one of the docents. it enhances the story. not as many details as you might like but staff is very nice and will answer any questions you might. it is cool to be in the actual place where the huddled masses got of the shipWritten June 1, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lynne LSummerside, Canada102 contributionsThe tour guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. The ceilidh was fun. Beautiful building with lots of history. Only negative, they allow small children on the tours; the children lacked interest and were somewhat disruptive and took away from the experience. I would have given the tour a 5 star if it wasn’t for the children attending.Written April 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GlenMcKenzie1Bay of Fundy & Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia, Canada159 contributionsOn a warm summer evening(after the sun has set), take the ferry from Halifax to Dartmouth to view the light of the Halifax skyline. Make sure you get a transfer when you pay your fare, for the return trip back to Halifax. A fantastic view for s tiny amount.Written February 26, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Tricia B9 contributionsThis is absolutely the most peaceful place to be in Halifax. The landscape is left natural with well groomed walking trails.Written February 18, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Peter WShrewsbury, UK803 contributionsWe visited the cemetery to view the area dedicated to the graves of the victims of the Titanic disaster. The graves were beautifully laid out in the shape of a ship’s hull. Very emotional visitWritten November 7, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- RichTLondon, Canada17 contributionsIt was a really neat place for the kids to play and learn for the morning. Lots of interactive activities to do. We also checked out the live show about constellations in the dome. Very cool show. Unfortunately the lower level was under construction so we were limited.Written May 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
