- Kelsey H1 contributionI have been frequenting the Summit Spa for over 10-years now. Now that I have moved away from Halifax and live in Ottawa; I am noticing the spas here, do not even compare to the Summit’s professionalism and their dedication to keeping up with modern aesthetics, as they evolve. If ever I am in Halifax, the Summit is definitely on my list to stop by, get a service and some product!Written January 26, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DartmouthHeatherDartmouth, Canada111 contributionsI keep returning to Spirit on Salter for the lovely environment and special touches. I usually visit for shellac pedicures. I love being offered a beverage, sometimes with a sweet treat or piece of fruit. Often there is a heated neck wrap, cozy blankets and lots of great magazines. Over the years, I have noticed that the quality varies quite widely by esthetician. Sometimes the polish is applied so far from the cuticle that it looks like the pedi is a month old after only a week of wear. Sometimes, no one checks-in to see if there is anything you might need mid-way through. Occasionally the massage feels a bit rushed. Most of the time however, I leave feeling relaxed and well taken care of. For the price, I haven't found a better spot yet!Written July 16, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Diane W3 contributionsI’ve been going regularly for about six months. Secluded, serene, and relaxing, though right in the midst of the city.Written October 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mike A30 contributionsOur first ever experience here was amazing!
It was my wife's birthday, and I had called at the last minute, not expecting to get a spot, but they were able to fit us in for flotation, massage and sauna.
The staff are friendly and thorough, explaining everything in good detail, and offering any assistance.
The facility itself is impeccably clean and beautifully appointed, with its entire focus on ensuring you have a relaxing and renewing experience.
Their house tea is delicious as well!Written March 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Blinnki641 contributionThis Spa is beautiful and their services are # 1 with me.
I’ve been going to Remedy since they were on Granville St. The new spa in Spring Garden Place is even prettier.
They are very skilled, pay great attention to detail, and you come away feeling fantastic every time. I’ve been a few times during Covid and I’ve always felt protected and at ease.
Shout out to Cait Blinn who takes awesome care of me .... Rentals as a little pricey though...Written November 9, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Hollsmolly9 contributionsI had a massage and facial done at Interlude. Both services were excellent and I felt so relaxed by the end of them. Here’s a few of the things I didn’t like: the waiting/lounge area is very small and cramped. It wasn’t a place you could sit and relax between services as it was just a bench. They have one bathroom for women, and it’s a single so you have to wait for it to be free. Not a huge deal but it seemed odd there was just one washroom. I went with a friend and we opted for the 50.00 extra pass to the wellness centre. This centre is advertised on the interlude website, however it’s completely run and part of the Muir hotel so all the hotel guests can use it as well. It states they have saunas, whirlpool, heated pool and salt room. Well, the salt room is extra and it needs to be booked in advance. The whirlpool is nothing but a tiny section about two feet deep at one end of the pool with jets. They also kept the water to drink and glasses in the gym section so every time we wanted water we had to go into the gym through two doors in our swimsuits while people are working out to get water. I only found out later that the pool and those extra amenities are kept up by the Muir hotel, so the interlude has little to no say in how things are set up. But they advertise it as something wonderful on their website but it’s definitely not worth the extra 50.00 for one hour. I wouldn’t call it a ‘spa’ experience so much. I would go back for another facial, that was really nice and my girl had very soft hands. She also did my arms and hands. Loved that.Written April 12, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Morris GivnerHalifax, Canada112 contributionsMy wife and I have been going to this hair salon for years. You're greeted with an offer of tea or coffee. The establishment is clean,well-maintained and all the hair stylists are trained and pleasant for conversation. My wife usually spends 1-2 hrs there, every six weeks and I about 30 minutes once a month.Written January 3, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Linda DBeaver Bank, Canada3 contributionsProvide a better spa experience for the price charged. This was my first time here. I arrive and was offered coffee which would have been nice except it was brought to me at the end of the service and it was barely lukewarm. No one offers to take your coat nor do they tell you where to put it when you arrive at the pedicure chair. My feet were barely soaked for a minute before my service begins. The foot rub, which is the best part was short and quite forgettable...the footrest kept sliding on the tile floor which was uncomfortable to hold steady. The skin around my nails was still stained from my previous color which did not look nice. Finally, the second my polish was applied she was ready to let me go. Does not give any time to dry a little. I have had hundreds of pedicures and this was the most disappointing. I went in when they were having their anniversary sale but let me say I would never pay 75 dollars for that. These people don't know how to make you feel pampered. So disappointed....😥😥Written March 16, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sarah B1 contributionI love Life Spa at Dartmouth Crossing, they are my regular spa. However, due to Dartmouth Crossing being fully booked I decided to make an appointment at the downtown location.
While I was driving to my appointment, 30 or 40 mins before my appointment was booked, I got a call on my car phone asking if they could reschedule me because the person before me was late. I said no because it's not my fault that somebody else was late and I was already on my way there. The lady on the phone that was fine and that they would keep my appointment for the same time then. I showed up 5 min early for my appointment because I didn't want to be late and end up wasting anymore of their time, but the lady at the front desk told me that my appointment was pushed back 10 to 15 mins because they started the appointment before me a little late. I said that was fine and sat on a small bench (their only waiting area) and started to read the news paper and have my coffee. 50 mins later I asked the person at the front desk what was happening because obviously they had no intention of starting my appointment on time. I read the whole news paper and my coffee went cold and I still was waiting. The service was fine once I finally got It! All I'm saying is, Life Spa, if an appointment is over 10 mins late then you have to cancel them and ask that person to rebook. It's not fair to have everybody else who shows up on time to be waiting in your small and uncomfortable waiting area.Written May 20, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
