- TennisStar602New Jersey612 contributionsJust before I left Nova Scotia, I wanted to pay my respect to the victims of the Titanic and to the 1917 Great Disaster. It was free to enter this cemetery, but this cemetery was only open for very random hours. It would be wise to check these hours of operation prior to any entry. It was quiet on a Monday morning. I was able to follow the signs to the locations that I wanted to visit, and I just parked my car as I viewed the graves.Written November 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Stirling BOttawa, Canada619 contributionsThis is the oldest cemetery in Halifax and no doubt one of if not the oldest in Canada. Located in downtown it is surrounded by modern life yet the tombstones show their age and the names on many are faded. Nice to see that it has been preserved and not paved over by some developer.Written July 26, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - nwaynesworldNova Scotia1,848 contributionsVery nice cemetery located in Downtown Halifax. This historic burial ground is the final resting place for several famous Nova Scotians. Very important part of Halifax history. Too bad HRM does not do a very good job maintaining the property. Also, sad to see people using the cemetery as a parking lot when their kids are having graduation photos taken across the street in the Public Gardens. This is a cemetery people. Show some respect.Written June 24, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- phat_dawg_21Alpharetta, GA13,464 contributionsWe stumbled onto the cemetery leaving the Gardens. Interesting headstones from the 1800’s to modern times.
