We loved everything in this museum. The ship models and the documents are amazing. We got a tour about the history of Halifax, the guide was brilliant, very energetic. Thank you for such a good experience.
This small museum is in the northern part of town and only accessible by car or taxi, but definitely worth it. It tells the story of the Black Loyalists who came to Halifax after the American Revolution and of the small community that until the 1960’s was situated where there’s now a park overlooking the river. The museum is not too far from the 1917 Explosion Bell Tower and can be paired with it for an interesting day of Halifax history
CCS Acadia became part of the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic collection in 1982. Visit this ship is not as exciting as visit the neighboring warship, but it's still interesting to step on aboard and see how this ship looks inside. It is a former hydrographic ship that served its purpose until 1969. It served as a patrol and escort vessel during world wars and later as a training ship.
Located at the scotiabank centre this is a great find. Covers all sports with an expanded section for Sidney Crosby. No charge for admission, worth going through
I think the tickets are a bit expensive, but the place itself is very interesting. I never regret the time spent here. There is a small snack bar here too. From time to time, the parking lot hosts retro cars show from their owners.
