Outdoor theatre in Point pleasant park. Terrific experience attending the 2 comedies happening this summer, Alice in Wonderland and Twelfth Night.

This is a great place to visit. We paddled over and had a great day of exploring, Geocaching, and hiking. I will go again. Not too busy as it's not easy to get to. You just need to plan your day. (However, some websites promote camping on the island. This is now prohibited. Too bad the websites aren't up to date.) Facilites (pit toilets), a great wharf, trails are easy on foot, views are incredible. History everywhere!

Great beers, great atmosphere and LOVED the customer service PEPPER provided. Pepper's passion for craft beer and explaining tasting notes, options to try, you can really tell that Pepper loves their job! Will be back for sure. The beer and customer service was AMAZING!
Also some regulars were there and had great conversations with them also and about the Craft beer world. The IPA's were our favourite!

When looking up activities to see and experience during our most recent trip to the Halifax area, I stumbled across the Prince of Wales Tower. As a bit of a history buff, the site intrigued me. I knew it was old, but didn’t know how old. As an added bonus, I saw that the tower is located in beautiful Point Pleasant. Surely this would make for a great adventure.

The Prince of Wales Tower is about a 10-minute walk from the Point Pleasant parking lot. My partner and I enjoyed the walk – it was nice to take in some of that fresh air and admire the greenery that surrounded us. Once we reached the tower, we were impressed by its size and, thanks to the information plaque attached to the site, we learned a little bit about its historical significance: It was built between 1796 and 1799 to “guard Halifax against seaborne attack from the Northwest Arm” and, in 1864, was converted to “a defensible depot magazine.” The conversion ensured the tower’s survival. The tower is in really good shape for a structure that’s over 200 years old. I only wish it was open to visitors, perhaps with a guide, to further contextualize the site and really drive home its significance.

My verdict? If you’re in Point Pleasant Park, then I’d recommend checking it out; however, don’t do what we did and visit the site for the sole purpose of seeing the tower – it’s kind of underwhelming in that respect. Oh well, at least we were able to take advantage of the decent weather and enjoy our freshly made Brothers Meat sandwiches at the nearby picnic tables!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 An Unforgettable Experience with Grape Escapes Nova Scotia Wine Tours!

From start to finish, our experience with Grape Escapes was beyond exceptional! Susan and Sunny made our day truly unforgettable. Susan’s expertise, dedication, and personal touch were evident throughout the tour. She even went the extra mile and called in a favour to get us an exclusive tasting at Good Robot Brewery—hands down the best beers in Halifax! It’s an absolute must-visit for any beer enthusiast.

Sunny, our driver, was friendly, professional, and ensured every detail ran smoothly. The stops were perfectly curated, and each one had its own unique charm. We especially loved Chain Yard Cidery in Halifax—an incredible spot with fantastic cider and a welcoming vibe.

The entire day was seamless, comfortable, and filled with great drinks, laughs, and unforgettable memories. We’ll absolutely be booking again with Grape Escapes and can’t recommend Susan and her team highly enough. If you’re exploring Nova Scotia’s wine, cider, and beer scene, this is the way to do it! 🍷🍎🍺

This trip was a bucket list idea from our father. Him and his three daughters (including myself) went. It was absolutely amazing. We were well informed on the history and schedule of the day before we left. Geordie was very helpful and knowledgeable. We have nothing but great things to say about the whole process and trip. We would recommend Picture Perfect Tours a thousand times to anyone if they are thinking of visiting Sable Island! Trip of a life time that none of us will forget.

Lem Smith from Halifax Tour Guys was our driver for the day. He arrived early to meet us at the cruise terminal and drove us to Peggy's Cove. Along the way, he gave us a brief history of Halifax and Peggy's Cove. He answered any questions we had and was very professional! He gave us a couple of hours to spend around Peggy's Cove, then picked us up when we were ready to go. He got us back to our cruise ship in good time and thanked us for touring with him! We highly recommend his services and hope you all have a wonderful experience like we did touring Peggy's Cove!

We went for a round trip drive on Alternative Routes back in May. Sam was attentive and easy to deal with when we booked our journey, and friendly and knowledgeable when we met up to drive around southern Nova Scotia. She knows lots of people in each of the towns we stopped at, and you can tell that she really cares about the communities and introducing her customers to what they have to offer. We had a great time and great conversation on the way back. We were very pleased to have booked with her, and would recommend Alternative Routes to anyone visiting Halifax.

Ryan was perfect! We had such a great day with him. We loved that he was so passionate and knowledgeable about his hometown. We were almost ready to move there after hearing his love for Halifax! We asked for specifics to our day and everything was covered. Even when we expressed a desire to have some fresh fish for lunch and not at a sit-down restaurant, he found a perfect side of the road spot to eat that was delish! We had physical limitations for some of our group and he adjusted everything so all could participate. He shared a wealth of information with us about Halifax and it was interesting to listen to. He even answered our barrage of questions! His ride was comfortable and we appreciated that he had a microphone so we could hear him perfectly (a few of us have hearing challenges). One of the most memorable experiences in our day was a lovely hike to some beautiful scenery and him playing his guitar and singing local folk songs. He's incredibly talented and meant to be a tour guide. The whole day and experience is a memory engrained in our hearts forever! Truly would use him again in a heartbeat!

BEST TOUR EVER!!! From the moment we got off our ship, Karl our guide was waiting with sign in hand. And Karl was the BEST!!! He took us all around Nova Scotia pointing out all the highlights. He was very knowledgeable and informative out all the sights. We went around Halifax, Fairview cemetery (Titanic), Peggy’s Cove, and down scenic beaches and lakes roads. 4-5 hours long, and a little more pricey, but worth every bit! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour you won’t be sorry or regret it. Thank you so much Karl!!

Blue Diamond Tours were excellent to deal with. They were helpful before, during and after our tours and other transportation needs were met. We needed to modify our tour day due to someone in our group having an illness and they were extremely accommodating. Our tour guide Jose was wonderful.

Incredible experience at LLAC! I visited the lake on a trip to Halifax last summer and as a city girl who does not have much experience with lake activities, my experience was nothing short of fantastic. The staff were helpful, knowledgeable, welcoming and kind. The sun was shining and I had so much fun! Would recommend to anyone visiting the Halifax area.
